I dont believe Mayweather needs tune ups in the traditional sense, he only has 2/3 fights left dont give your loyal fans sh1t fights! Guerrero doesn't deserve the shot he only really beat Berto who we have discovered was severely overrated. At least fight Canelo or Trout.

Canelo should be fighting Trout really, you cant sell me on another great performance from Cotto just because he put in a great performance against Mayweather doesn't mean he should continue to get the big opportunities.

I'm just unimpressed with the fights that are likely to take place.

If Canelo/Mayweather is on for Sept 15 then Martinez/Chavez Jr II (or TR) will need to move to a diffrent date but I doubt that will happen. I am a Martinez fan but other than a Pac/Mayweather (who MIGHT still be the BIGGEST fight to make) a Canelo/Mayweather comes in as the second biggest ($$$$$$$) fight to make in boxing right now. (Martinez/Mayweather and Canelo/Chavez Jr will never happen so those don't count)

September is going to be instersting to see how TR and GBP put up their cards and if one of them decides to move the date.

 

Khan could certainly be on the bill. Garcia is fighting in Feb, so early May would be a push for that I think. Possibly Lopez or maybe Peterson II?

 

exactly this. I wasn't sure if they'd put Canelo vs Cotto on an undercard since both of them would want to be paid a lot. That by themselves could bring in 500 to 700K ppv buys by themselves

Arum planned Martinez Chavez II, like 2 months ago already for September 14th 2013. If they combine that with Pac JMM V, that would be a massive PPV.
But still ends up short to Mayweather Canelo

That could work. Theyve done it before. Especially with Cotto coming off a loss and no other big names out there left for a good pay day. Not sure this breaks the 2.4 mil record Floyd and DLH set. Maybe comes close but wont top it.
