I think it will break 2mil. Incredible hype for this fight.

PPV records will always be broken, cable TV and ppv in general is getting more and more popular.

    :rofl

Don't agree with you much, but that's something he'll say for sure.

If it beats the 2.4 then it would be the highest. I see it doing somewhere around 2.2-2.8

God forbid if that happens though because then negotiations and split on upcoming fights will be hard for the other team to negotiate. I say no names.. :good

May 1st to May 8th :good

I think it could do the 3 to 3.5 but I'm not sure if it happens. But it is hyped up like crazy all over. It will be very interesting to see what happens. Regardless can't wait for the fight. Should be fun. I have a feeling Mayweather is going to make a statement for his critics.

    I'm thinking somewhere between 1.5 - 1.75 is feasible.

With the right promotion, the fight should break 1 million buys easy. Getting 3x that number seems a bit of a reach, though i wouldn't be surprised if gets 2 million buys.

Yo, I've been working 60 hour weeks and have missed the soap opera. Floyd said something about Shane's wife? Mosley fired back? And there's been a press conference a day or two ago?

If anyone can post links to these vids, I'd appreciate it.

And my nine cents: The two fights will sell within 15% of each other.

I expect it'll do a little over 2 mill. Floyd has literally been everywhere in the mainstream media selling this fight, it's ****ing crazy.

Nobody will be able to deny his pull after this.

Though i do hope Pac do atleast equally better with this Floyd/Shane fight, that's not gonna happen. This fight will atleast make 800k more than Pac's PPV buys, so if Pac's fight could reach 1.2M, then this will ateast get around 2.0M. Especially with 24/7 exposure.

If Marguez fight made atleast a million, this fight will atleast get around 700k more than that. The fans that wants to see Floyd loose is gonna bite this because Shane is a live underdog. But honestly, beyond 2.4M PPV doesn't look feasible.

Regardless, hope both fights maximize the buys. The more, the better for boxing.

Floyd-Marquez did better then expected because the US Mexican population backed their man.

This is a better fight with better hype, but no way it does better then the 2.5 million that Floyd-ODLH did.

If it does more then 1.5 million its a huge success. One thing I have to give credit to Golden Boy is that they are the only boxing promoter to really know how to promote in the 21st century while Top Rank and the others are still stuck in the 90's mindset.

Anyway you slice it this fight is great for boxing, a sport on its supposed death bed which has had a great run since 2007.
