If that contract was signed, sealed, executed, and practiced in California it isn't worth the paper it's written on. Non-Compete clauses were invalidated in the state of California, I know because I had to adhere to one until the law changed.

If it was done in any other state then who knows. I am well aware that the fighter contracts are done New York so who knows how they did this with Schaffer. Also non-compete clauses have a "suunset" or "expiration" so as you are not permitted to compete for a period of time set fourth but the agreement, at the time said clause was signed.

Let me just point out, that non-compete clauses are invalid in the State of California.

Hang on Haymon isn't a promoter right he is an advisor so he doesn't hold a licence or anything why would it be a given he teams up with Schaffer, ODLH said it himself he found Richard and can do it again, All these fighters signed with Haymon were would they box if their was a split HBO won't take them and Showtime are with GB doubt Al's fighters would be happy if their not fighting on Sho or HBO! And since Haymon isn't a manager or Promotor couldn't they easily leave him and Al and Richard would be fcuked. Plus some of those fighters are also with GB and would stay with ODLH because legally they can't leave him.

Any promoter, ANY would loan their license to promote a Mayweather bout.

Those fights were eons ago. It's significant that you mention Mosley-Margarito though since Bob declared after the cheat got his ass beat that they wouldn't make the same mistake again and immediately went as insular as they could. Top Rank flaunted their leverage just as much if not more than Golden Boy is now, and they're only working with other promoters because their stable is increasingly barren.

Maybe because there have only been two fights that fit that description since mid-2009...

(Vanes vs. Lara; which went to purse bid and Gamboa vs. Ponce de Leon; the only time where GB and TR fighters have fought without a purse bid in that time span)

And it's worth pointing out that for both of those fights, GBP took a backseat, but that supposedly out-of-house TR has never reciprocated (as for instance when Golden Boy won the purse bid for Vanes-Lara II and the fight didn't happen). They haven't deferred since Alvarez-Gomez.
