JMM deserves 50-50? Because of close fights and being 0-1-1 vs him? Manny is still the money behind that fight if it's ever made. At the MOST< maybe JMM shold get 35-40%. And that's being generous.

IMO, the only way this fight will happen is if it's @ 140, purse split @ 60-40 or 55-45 and no random blood test. If there is going to be a blood test, there will be a cut of date.

JMM wants blood testing because he needs his urine for training purposes. :D

Everyone knows it including GBP and Marquez that he cant command 50% against the roid user.......

......Marquez will take much less than 50% if Arum was serious enough to actually get into a negotiation with Shaefer.......but it aint happening as long as the public keeps buying Pac's PPV's against Arum's own stable fighters.

If Shafaer publicly stated that Marquez would accept 40%, he'd still be laughed at by Arum without a counteroffer........

......if Shafaer were to say, "we'll accept 20% of the purse, maybe then Arum would give Shafaer a phone call willing to negotiate and try to bring the price down even further than that.

I dont think its any secret here, the only way a JMM-Pac fight is even contemplated by the Pac team, is if JMM is willing to accept like 15% of the total purse, which would be ridiculous.

150k buys with a deep undercard and hes demanding 50/50 against Pac

looks like JMM is pricing himself out of a fight with Pac just like he did 5 years ago

Are you aware that for Pacquiao to be lured into accepting a rematch with Marquez.......Marquez had to accept less than 25% of the purse split?

I've got to think that Arum and Pac would offer Marquez even less now.

Of course we all know that Mayweather was'nt Marquez first choice of opponent.

Marquez called out Mayweather when Pacquiao refused to acknowleadge him for a third matchup opportunity.

For Gods sake, Marquez went all the way to the Phillipines and was cheered when he called out Pacquiao at a boxing event there.........

.....after Pacquiao said, "anytime anywhere"....he did'nt man up and accept the challenge.

From what I hear, the Pinoy fans at that boxing event treated Marquez like Royalty. The true Pinoy boxing fan that knows the sport love and respect Marquez because they know he got the better of Pacquiao.:yep

This is one of the most sensible posts I've seen on the subject. Personally I doubt very much that Floyd thinks Pac is on anything either. I think the whole shebang was just his way of trying to get into Pac's head and obtain any psychological advantage he can. The thing about cleaning up the sport is a deliberately transparent pretext, it's meant to be what it looks like - a personal attack on Pac. You have to wonder why Floyd was never so concerned with cleaning up the sport while he was fighting much less threatening competition.

That said, having made the pretext, Floyd can't very well back down from it against Mosley, a guy known to have used PEDs, even though he does insist it was unknowingly and I tend to believe him. For his part, I don't doubt that Pac genuinely believes blood being taken in the week before the first Morales fight weakened him. I doubt it really did, but you have to remember this is the only bout he's lost since he was about 20. When that happens, it's human nature to look for anything out of the ordinary immediately before the fight and highlight it as a possible cause. I dint think it did weaken him but I think he believes it did.

It's just a shame this whole issue is robbing the fans of some great fights. I'm no expert on PEDs but surely random testing up to the 14 day mark plus a post fight test ought to satisfy everyone?

It seems like to me that you're trying to convince yourself that Pac's not on performance enhancers......

I think most everyone in the boxing world if not convinced, at the very least are very suspicious that Pac has been able to rise up so many weight classes and not lost any speed, quickness, or stamina.

The bottom line here is that Pac is now fighting much bigger bodies, and he's not wearing down one bit down the stretch of a fight, when its natural that even the most skilled of fighters from past history lose steam down the stretch of fights fighting naturally bigger fighters.

Dont kid yourselves, whether they believe Pac has been singled out or not, most everyone in the boxing world is at the very least suspicious of Pacquiao in regards to his possible use of performance enhancers.

I could not care less. It makes no odds to me I'm just calling it how I see it. I admire and appreciate both but an not a fan boy of either. If you don't like my completely neutral point of view then bollocks to you!

Pac and FLoyd both started at 106. Pac was at 122 when FLoyd was at 140. Guess who's juicing now.

Your nonsense has been done to death......
What you're saying does'nt hold water.....

Both fighters were in their mid-teens when they were weighing 106 lbs, and not yet fully developed.

Mayweather at 19 was a solid 130 lbs.....

A full grown man in his mid 20's, Mayweather had grown into a full fledged lightweight, while Pacquiao at the same age was fighting at or below featherweight.

Based on their weights when they were fully grown men in their mid 20's, that fact is that Mayweather is at least a good 10 lbs naturally heavier than Pacquiao

You cant compare the weights of fighters in their teenage years when their bodies have yet to fully develop and say both weighed so and so and say Pacquiao has'nt been through anything Mayweather has'nt.

If you want to compare the weights of both fighters and compare the weight climbs, start it out at a point in their 20's when it can be said their bodies have matured into adulthood.

There are just so many factors that justify a train of thought that Pacquiao may be a juicer.
.....alot of what Pacquiao is accomplishing is getting done through workrate and attrition, which has been rare in boxing when a fighter is moving up.

Where as what Mayweather is done is'nt so rare with highly skilled defensive fighters, relying on pure skill, elusiveness, and defense.
