I never understood why either the ufc or guys in the ufc lie about their boxing experience. The first time i heard this was in the ultimate fighter, they claimed schaub was a boxer and had won a national golden gloves. First off the guy didnt even win a city golden gloves at the novice level in any state. 2nd, noguera isnt knocking out any amatuer boxer with over 10 fights let alone a national golden gloves winner.

Why would anyone make that up when everyone with an internet connection can easily confirm your amateur boxing credentials esp if you won a national tournament?

Anyone can knock anyone out with 4 oz gloves. Boxers can have their effectiveness stunted when looking out for other dangers (kicks; takedowns)

    But yeah, Schaub is crap.

Did he really win a Golden Gloves? His boxing is okay but its not top class. Nelson and Nog have now ****ed up his world. His boxing has always looked okay but without his size and power his skills would rank very poorly.

brendan a.k.a "the ******, tomatoe can, glass joe" schaub sucks he's a D-class striker and was and has always been **** so hopefully UFC cuts him soon or gets him in SF so that bigfoot, sergei or barnett can choke him the **** out and/or knock him the **** out.

#1 I only remember ever hearing that Schaub won a state golden gloves tournament, and I assumed it was novice and was colorado. I have no idea where I would have come up with that if didn't read it on the UFC website or hear it on a broadcast. If that's not true at all then that's ****ed up. However, other times when I thought they'd lied they were actually just stretching the truth. For example, they always referred to Abe Wagner as an "all american" at football when in fact he was an ACADEMIC all american and was never even in the top five in tackles on his DII football team. The always refereed to Hamil as an "olympic wrestler" and NCAA champ when in fact he won the world olympics for the deaf and was a DIII wrestling champ. Stuff like that. Very misleading but ever outright lies. I'd be surprised if this wasn't in that category.

#2 Nog's boxing is more classic boxing than most guy in MMA since he almost never throws kicks and doesn't worry about getting taken down. From what I've heard of his background and seen in his hands, he would beat plenty 10 fight amateur. No national GG champs, but still, you're way overboard if you think he's not (or at least in his prime wasn't) up to the level of a 10 fight AM.

#3 I always root against Schaub because he seems like a tool and I hate that stupid throat cutting thing he does when he wins and hate how he mimics GSP when he enters the ring like he's some super fanboy. Still, you guys are going WAY overboard on the hate. He's beaten some people that were definite middle of the pack UFC fighters and will win a whole bunch more before he retires. He'll never make it withing sniffing distance of the title, but he's far from a bozo.

That's why Mirko smashed Nog standing, because Nog would easily handle most K-1 fighters.:patsch

His Chin would never hold up in K-1 and regardless of his result against Glass Schaub it will be exposed in MMA when he steps up in competition again.

Pretty sad that we have to discuss Nog's weak chin after he made a career on having a granite one...

Being knocked out by Mir and Cain isn't damming. Especially since he has took bombs his whole career.
