Mayweather vs Oscar DLH 2 was supposed to happen but Floyd fought Hatton instead then retired for a number of years. Gamboa vs Mikey Garcia was signed, Gamboa opted out his contract though and decided to join 50 cents promotion.
Toney & Hopkins were scheduled in 03’ after Toney beat Jirov at 190. I think Hopkins was supposed to go up from 160. They have a couple press conferences and then the fight got scraped.
The biggest fight I remember getting scheduled and cancelled was a 175lb unification fight between Eddie Mustafa Muhammad and Matthew Saad Muhammad in their primes. Wells Fargo finally checking their books and turning in Harold Smith to the Feds killed a great card full of fights. No idea who would have won. If you put a gun to my head I'd say Mustafa. I don't think MSM was likely to knock him out and Eddie might've shaded some close rounds.
