Scoring on Twitter indicates that Hyppolite took three of the first four with more plentiful and straighter punches while Boone worked the body and hunted for a big hail-Mary overhand right.

Double knockdown in the 5th, most giving it to Boone 10-8 as Hyppolite was more hurt, and Boone got another 10-8 in the 6th, drilling Hyppolite across the ring and nearly taking him out. Hyppolite was ready to go by most accounts but survived.

 

Round 8

Hyppolite is dancing around Boone and tossing jabs off the hip or flung straight out from his pecs, carrying his arms low while he circles wide to reset. Boone is mouth-breathing. A bit of shoulder-roll and rope-a-dope in the corner from Boone, getting tagged by a couple of lashing rights on the brow and then lurching in to hold. Boone is very tired.

Round 9

Hyppolite is throwing slashing upward sling-blade lefts off the hip. Boone is backing into the ropes and then caroming into Hyppolite's arms, smothering and forcing the clinch. Boone is shoring up his reserves, shuffling to his left and picking his spots very economically. Jabs on the body from Boone, loading up on the occasional clubbing or line drive right on the upper dome. Hyppolite very busy with lawn-sprinkler jabs and lariat rights, very messy. Boone coasting away, turning his chin to slip punches with both hands down while positioning himself outside with just enough footwork, again very economical, nothing hasty or flashy, just doing enough to maintain good defensive movement and cause Hyppolite to miss a majority.

(and even when my thread first went up, you had missed 70% of it, no way is that worth $60. The whole card itself wouldn't be worth that - and that would be even if Lemieux were still headlining..)

 

Round 10

Hyppolite is jabbing at long range while jogging in either direction and then falling in with a candle-snuffing right. Boone ducks forward to absorb most of these on his back and starts tracking Hyppolite even at medium-long range with a sharp counter left jab. Boone mixing in body shots, very high accuracy compared with Hyppolite, and better defense.

Dougie Fischer is correct. "Boone unhappy with the decision, but he really should have done more". Even from just catching the last few rounds that has the ring of truth. Boone was downright miserly.
