Janjanin is unable to stand up right without placing himself in the path of a long right hand. Butler is swarming him, tenderizing everywhere from the lower rib cage to liver with left hooks and brushing Janjanin's temples and ears with guillotine right hands as he instinctively dips and bends. Janjanin is trying but can't avoid even half the shots coming his way. Finally the ref steps in.

TKO3!!

 

Plenty of time for ironing out the kinks. For a kid who turned pro under two years ago (his 2nd anniversary in the pros will be two weeks from Monday) he is developing quite nicely. :good

 

I can sort of see where Janjanin was coming from in thinking he might have been screwed there, as he technically was sitting his butt on the middle rope and swaying from side to side to slip punches, and throwing some of his own in return when the ref stepped in - but still. He was taking a licking in a complete mismatch.

 

Looking back through its 13-year lineage, I think we can already safely call Butler the 2nd best IBF Youth welterweight champion of all time after Zaurbek Baysangurov. :think

Deezol has "broken even" a total of five times - all of them coming more than halfway into his career. (which makes it all the more odd, as you'd more typically find someone rapidly alternating success and failure when first starting out)

He enjoyed an overall winning record until 2010. Entering his first encounter with then-unbeaten Adonis Stevenson at 16-15-2 he ended up dodging what on paper should probably have been his first time breaking even by scoring that upset KO. He would lose to and draw one to close out the year, however, finishing at 17-17-3 after getting blown out by Marco Antonio Peribán.

He then went a pair in the positive, followed by two steps back - with the KO loss in Kovalev II putting him at 19-19-3.

Two more losses (including Stevenson II), another draw, and two mild upset knockout victories over big punchers gave him a balance of 21-21-4.

Magomedov blitzed him, stunting that momentum from stopping Dionisio Miranda and Philip Jackson Benson - and he rebounded three months later with a stoppage of Sam Miller to realign his columns at 22-22-4.

Knocked out Jimmy Campbell in December for the brief go-ahead, now the loss to Hyppolite.

 

Most top 15 super middles would put Hyppolite to sleep.
