There is not much to tell besides the fact that this polish boxer became a very loved fighter in Germany after beating Virgil Hill who had beaten their long time undefeated Henry Maske, they used to call him the Tiger and he was followed by celebreties like hardrock band The Scorpions but somehow and after many title defenses at LHWT he basically cheated against German favourite Graziano Rochigianni and faked a low shot who costed Rocky the fight but in the rematch, he redeemed himself by stopping Rocky. He lost his title unexpectedly when he was being matched with the likes of RJJ and Calzaghe to Mexican and late Julio Gonzalez and in an attempt to comeback was blasted by very good french and hardman Fabrice Tiozzo who only lost clearly to Virgil Hill. Tiozzo hummiliated Dariusz in Germany stopping him in a lil more than 6 rounds.

Did you watch the fight? No robbery at all. Michaelczewski admitted defeat, he said he was beaten by a better man that night.

 

dariusz was a real stiff fighter. you think Wlad is stiff, just look at Dariusz. he was a good fighter though, his best attribute being his jab.

 

I advice you to watch also some fights when he was still in his prime if you want to judge his career properly. What you said is like saying RJJ has to be way overrated since otherwise he should've won with Lebedev, Tarver and Johnson.

I do not think he was overrated. At best people are saying he was a solid number 2 in LHW for years, and IMO if it wasn't true it was not far from it either. After all DM was lineal LHW champion, kept a part of CW title for a moment, and compiled good number of defences (with good part of his opponents being also common with RJJ).

HOF - yes, ATG - no.

And last thing his fight with Rocchigiani - after the fight Rocchigiani was tested positive, so DM was not the only one cheating there (though he was definitely faking not being able to continue)

 

Michaelczewski should get inducted into the HOF do doubt. More so than ****ing Ottke IMO.

 

I believe so as well (That Jones would win) even in Germany. But they did not fight, so Jones never beat him.

 

would have forced a jones fight had not for the new WBOgus title that was invented because boxing was in such dire need of a 4th world title..but he was happy defending that garbage belt
