I am ready for my lesson. He was quite bally-hooed when he turned pro.

What more must I know of him that the usual sources do not reveal?

Ah Adolpho Al Velez. Only boxer to hold the Texas championship at Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight simultaneously. Fought in world war 2 and thought soldiers how to box. Died aged 89 I think. Gave a very good account of himself against Maxim.
