The original card Randall and Chavez was on, featured Nelson vs Leija, Jackson vs Mclellan, Randall Chavez and Terry Norris and I think Pettway or Brown cant remember? I think every favorite lost, so King duplicated the exact card and called it Revenge the Rematches. Randall almost had Chavez down again in the first or second round, in fact I remember Chavez doing an incredible move of balance to not go down. Randall was robbed of the decision. Nonetheless, good fights during a time King was trying to fill his tv spots while Tyson was in prison. Randall went on a really bad streak in WBA fights against the Argentine guy before losing his title and fading away.
That's what Chavez loyalists on youtube say I don't remember any controversey about Randall and steroids in the media at any time around the first Chavez fight. I think the Argentinian Commission accused him of failing a test for steroids after the 3rd Coggi fight. But, we all know how crooked that commission is (See Eder Gonzales v. Juan Goggi I).
It was rumoured that Chavez broke a few of Randall's ribs during the first fight but he was pain free because of steroid use.
I could have sworn I read it was a common steroid for race horses. Again, I was a kid when I read it. Definitely wasn't on youtube from the JCC fanboys. LOL
This is unsourced. Until I see an actual news article I will never believe it. There is way too much onsourced claims on here. I followed the sport closely at the time, and non of the boxing mags. ever said anything about Randall failing a drug test after Chavez I. If the Nevada Commission had made such a ruling, it would have been published.
