Who told you he was a legend? They were wrong.

Good lightweight, overcame early career journeyman status to claim a title.

Don't listen to Flea, for he does not know the Greatness that lies within Ishimatsu, the pretty dominant lightweight champion.

In all honestly he was solid, I'd love to know more about Guts himself and learn how he got to the top seeing his record pre-Duran was not impressive.

Yeah solid is deffo the correct term. Watch Duran-Ishimatsu...you'll have a big appreciation of Ishimatsu after watching that fight!

What because he loses every round and gets battered? I have more respect for Duran's patience in that one, he picks Guts apart.

It's clear that Guts is no Duran. But Guts literally showed guts in that fight, he hit Duran with big shots too in that fight, and he got up many times after being floored by Duran until Duran unleashed a completely monstrous body punch to finish him off. There's no way out from that one, but I'm pretty sure I remembered Guts sit up and then the corner ran in to stop any further beatings.
