Quoted by sugar ray leonard , i remember shadow boxing in front of the mirror and yet have i ever seen such fast hand speed then hector macho camachos...

camacho had insane hand speed, a great chin, but almost being knocked down by chapo made him a safety first fighter, after that we saw to much moving and hardly any real punching..

and naseem wasn't close to having camchos handspeed, and camacho in his prime had a straight left that would stun anyone and DID stun many to the canvas...

fastest hand speed ive ever seen in my life, especially the fastest hooks... everyone knows the weight behind a hook and how much slower it always is than a jab or straight right, still shocks me today how camachos hooks were as quick as his jabs...

you can see the quickness of it in camacho vs ramirez...

its really sad how alot of puerto rican boxers ruined their career with drugs, chapo rosario, camacho, wilfredo gomez went partying doing drugs prior to the sanchez fight, sanchez would get up at 2AM!!! to run, while gomez took it as a joke and kept partying, having sex drinking , doing drugs and he had to pay for it the hardest way = getting KOd and never prooving his victory chance due to sanchez tragic death......

but yeah camacho was crazy inspiring and entertaining just a unique individual...

"aint nobody better than me right now, we gotta lot of great fighters but they dont pocess that........ media attenttion... I do!! why?!! why not!!"

"i float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, but i aint ali, im just a macho man!!!"

    lol very entertaining...

also you can see alot of fighters inspired by him and fighting like him at times, paulie malignaggi does everything like camchos but lacks in handspeed, power and boxing skills although he is pretty good...

and Amir Khan does alot of things in camachos style, especially the 4-6 quick left jab camacho used to do, you can see khan doing it in alot of fights including the maidana, not that a whole lot of fighters do the 4-6 quick jabs all the time but khan does in camachos slick on his side fashion, at times looks just like him, but once again lacks hand speed, ofcourse, lol

This was a good sum up. I would just add after the cautious after that part, which affected his career and made him not as effective as a fighter. Just missed being a great fighter. Actually probably missed it by a lot.

You mean besides the actual fighting part, right? They were nothing at all alike inside the ring.

Blinding Hand speed yes,why is everyone forgetting the blinding foot speed? could have been one of the absolute greatest of all times! Coke, partying and craziness, how else could a guy with talent like that lose to Chavez?

at 130 in the begining Chavez and crew they steered way the hell away from Macho then when the partying had done its damage along comes Chavez......go watch Ramirez vs Chavez compare and contrast that with Ramirez vs Camacho.
if only Camacho had the work ethic of a Paquiao or some ****en sense......FFS
