I know you'll probably say Here he goes again but Can you please tell me how Yoshi was ahead in that fight ?? Yeah the TWO points deducted for an accidental head butt helped immensely . That was like Paulie going to Vegas to fight Floyd they werent going to let the local hero lose That was one of the very few fights Paulie had that I wasnt ringside for. I couldnt afford the trip to Tokyo Japan. Paulie's corner Paul Reyes, Henry Mendez & Paulie's Dad Frankie were all livid
about it. Even Yoshi apologized to Paulie & promised him a return. Paulie won that fight no two ways about it

 

Bump. A fighter that truly deserves more respect for the exciting bouts that he's shown in the ring every time he fought.
Randomly came across his fight with Paulie Ayala where he hands him his first defeat despite the fight ending too soon due to a headbutt. A valiant effort and his last big victory over a quality fighter. I would love to see footage of his fight with Saen Sor Ploenchit.

Tatsuyoshi is quite rad.

 

A real badass stud. Win or lose this guy always puts on a very gutsy performance.

 

As has been mentioned already, his performance against Richardson to win the WBC belt is very impressive. Greg Richardson was a very adept boxer who seems to have gone largely forgotten. Been a while since I watched the fight but I remember really liking how Tatsuyoshi would slip Richardson's jab to the inside to throw his left hook. Was also very good at jabbing with Richardson to close distance and take his best tool away from him iirc. I've tried out the left hook slip-counter a couple times in sparring but could never get the timing down and tend to use a straight right for countering the jab instead. But yeah, Tatsuyoshi was one mean man and an offensive force at his best. Sahaprom's clinic against him in their first fight is an incredible performance by the way, even if it's a bit sad to see Tatsuyoshi get so thoroughly outclassed.
