I had the idea that the Jones fight was after Toney III when I wrote that... Could be that I was a bit soused at the time. Of course he lost clearly to Jones too.
The thing I think mostly about McCallum is how economical he was. He did not waste many punches at all and very technical with his defense and counterpunching to mix it together so an opponent had to hink to beat him, and he had a great sense when to pore it on and step on the gas to get a guy out of there when he sensed he was coming on strong. Too bad he didn't fight the fab 4. But they had enough fights with each other to keep them busy.
