Thanks for all the responses everyone..

Having only seen the fight vs Cunningham and a few other fights on you tube I have a good feeling about that guy for some reason.. It may be because I think he's quite entertaining which is a breath of fresh air in this age of dull ass heavyweights.. I grew up watching Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis, Mercer, Moorer, Ruddock, I could go on and on with the names... In those days the division was exciting and explosive!!! Maybe I will just keep my fingers crossed that Fury hangs around for awhile.

Or I can always just make a trip to my basement and pull out a few of my old VHS tapes and relive the glory days for me..

    Again thanks everyone..

Watch tyson vs kevin johnson, that was easily his most impressive victory where he displayed his whole skillset, outclassing johnson in every round.

People are underestimating tyson big time and overrating hayes chances

heavyweight boxing will stay far more entertaining is fury wins, guys a complete head case the southpaw experiment was quality ... Think a big problem with fury is he lets the occasion get to him at times, big mix of nerves and excitement but he is still pretty young

basically just around for his height. his skills are not great, he once threw an uppercut and punched himself in the face.

but he is 6'7" and can run his mouth as good as anyone so he is getting some light.

haye is a much more serious fighter and should handle fury with ease.

Do you know how long ago that fight was?

He's improved massively since then, this isn't going to be an easy fight for haye by a long stretch.

Haye is going to destroy him. A forgone conclusion. Nothing to get excited about.

Fury is a good fighter that has improved immensly over the last couple of years =D

He's main stregth is his size and he uses it well to tie up / tier down opponents.
He's god a good jab wich he uses more to distract and blind opponents.

your feelings are correct...most here hate fury.the ones that don't hate him are picking against him based on him getting dropped by cunningham.

bottom line is there wrong.after the fight, few will come around and the rest will continue to hate.

    oh well

Fury has improved so much in the last few years.

Conditioning is way better, he looks physically better, and he has become away smarter boxer than before.

I dislike him a lot, but have seen all of his fights, and can honestly say he seems to get better every fight, and also has a LOT more room to grow as a fighter.

For me Haye will win, but I don't see a 3rd round KO at all. I see a late Haye stoppage, or a UD, but at the same time I wouldn't be hugely surprised if Fury won on sheer heart and workrate. Hayes muscles use a hell of a lot of energy up.

    Just my thoughts.

I find it interesting people think Haye will walk through him, I was training in the same gym as haye around the time he lost to Thompson. He is not a naturally big man and i am surprised he has put on as much size as he has. Extra muscle mass gained in the gym will NEVER make up for natural size. I see a lot closer fight, Haye with major speed fighting in spurts, if Fury is smart and uses his natural size and reach, he can shock a lot of people. I think he has a good man in Peter Fury. I think he will stop Haye late on.

I just got in touch with a buddy who I used to trade boxing with way back in the day.. Since my website has been down for close to 10 years now and I haven't really been taping or selling fights (just watching these days) anymore all I have been able to see on Fury is whats available on You Tube. A former customer who used to love to order fights from me involving those 80's Heavyweight "Belt Holders" as I liked to call them offered to burn me all he has on Tyson Fury "on the house" so I should have a good gauge on him real soon..

I will revisit this thread once I dive into what he sends me..

I am eager to watch the Johnson fight that you recommended..
