    Artur Grigorian & Acelino Freitas!

When were these guys in their prime and what were they like in their prime?

    What were their best performances?

How highly do you/did you rate them?

Fights to watch of theirs are?

I think Grigorian was pretty good. I liked him when he was active and expected a lot from him but he never got the fights to really showcase his ability. His best performance was against Balbi. In 2002/3 Spadafora was looking at him as an opponent and I sent paul a bunch of his fights and told him not to take Grigorian lightly. That fight never came off because of Pauls legal issues but it would have been interesting.

Freitas was a terrific offensive powerpuncher but his style was totally ruined by Oscar Saurez (who i thought ruined every fighter he got his hands on). Freitas went from being mini Mike Tyson to a sloppy fighter but was still so naturally talented he notched his best wins after Saurez. I think his best performance was against Casamayor. A lot of people had that fight close or as a win for casa but i thought freitas won a competetive but clear decision. His bodywork in that fight nearly broke casa in half i didnt think he got enough credit for it by some. Later in his career he was such a superstar in Brazil that he didnt really seem to have the same fire for boxing and started showing a lack of heart in fights. That, combined with the change in style turned me from a huge fan to being disinterested.
