Just re-watched the fight, and IMO Schulz clearly got robbed. He outworked Botha in almost every round and scored the much clearer shots. I had it 9-2-1 Schulz, how one judge could score the fight 118:111 for Botha is beyond me. Poor Axel Schulz, he really should have become a world champion, either against Foreman or against Botha. Comments, opinions?
Why isnt Tyson Fury allowed to fight the buffalo? I don't get it! Botha just went 8 rounds with Evander Holyfield who is an elite HW who almost beat Valuev.
Schulz won. Botha was garbage. How Schulz, coming off a robbery loss over in the u.s. for the same title, got robbed in his own country of Germany is anyone's guess.
Fully agreed. Schulz got a rough deal in his career, he wasn't exceptionally gifted but should have had two remarkable wins over Foreman and Botha.
I remember that fight. The Germans weren't too happy with the scores and threw champagne bottles, glasses and chairs into the ring.
