OK, we'll try this one more time. The reason that these situations are different is that Ali actually stepped up after he was KD'd, showing that it was a fluke. Wilder hasn't.

After Nichols and Sconiers, he went another 4 years or so fighting the same sort of carefully selected stiffs, and even since then, has fought only carefully selected journeymen, washed up name opponents, fringe contenders and mediocre contenders/beltholders like Stiverne

In 35 years of following boxing, I have never seen a rated fighter fight lower quality opposition for a greater length of time than Wilder. There's a reason for this - and Nichols and Sconiers exposed it.

 

Joshua is a ****en coward. He's a ***** and I hope that Parker ends the frauds reign. He isn't a true Gold medalist, and he isn't a real champion. He was given both titles. And the WBO title never counted as a title in my book. You tell that fraud ***** of yours to fight Wilder after Parker.

Exactly. Not really a Joshua fan per se, except in the sense that he's shown himself to be a more legitimate fighter than Wilder. Like Ali, he upgraded opposition at a normal pace, moving beyond the tomato level fighters in about a year. Wilder took over FIVE!!

There is a REASON Wilder has been moved so slowly an carefully, two actually - #1 to protect that fragile mandible; and #2 create the illusion he's a "devastating KO puncher."

For the casual follower of the sport, or limited fanboy who knows little about boxing, this scam has been successful. For anybody who knows anything about boxing, it's a congame you can sniff a mile away.

Regardless of whatever kind of chin Wilder is packing, he's a fighter through and through and extremely tough. Also, I think his power is indisputably immense. Questioning his power is a bit beyond ridiculous IMO. Anyone who thinks he doesn't have legitimate KO power - again, IMO - is a straight hater or doesn't know what they are talking about.

 

Wilder unquestionably deserves at least a small amount of blame for the level of opposition he has faced to this point, but not even close to the majority of it. I mean, I think he rightfully should accept 20% of the blame but nothing more than that.
