1-Haye accurate with rights and lefts and Valuev has no idea how o cut off the ring. Haye 2-Valuev kept Haye at the point of his jab however the two best shots a jab and right were by Haye. Valuev 3-Close round where Valuev shows a strong jab but Haye is very effective. Haye 4-Close Round Valuev conistent with the jab and lands some power shots Haye very accurat and effective but is not doing enough. Valuev 5-Close Haye good moment but not often enough and too spaced out Valuv very consistent. Valuev 6-Valuev aggressive with a good jab lands several nice rights and left hooks but Haye lands hard and accurate shots but still takes too many breaks. Valuev Mid Point 58-56 Valuev 7-Good right early by Valuev who later send Haye to the ropes with a combo valuev walks thru a right and keeps coming with a punch of his own. Valuev 8-Valuev slows in this round but Haye does not speed up either Haye landed better however Valuev landed well too. Haye 9-Valuev dominated early then Haye landed a big right then Valuev dominated the rest of the round cannot give a guy a round for one punch unless it is a knockdown. Valuev. 10-Very little here but Valuev continues to stalk as Haye continues to retreat.Valuev 11-Very little action Valuev stalks but not effectivley but Haye did nothing.Valuev 12-Haye's best round wish the whole fight was like this this is how I thought it would go before hand. Great finish by Haye Final-116-112 Valuev However I can see why the judges gave it to Haye. I can agree with the draw or a one or two point either way. Haye fought well but I thougt he could have done more but he won anyway. He needs to be way more active to beat a much better stalker in fighter in Ruiz and the Klitschkos.
I can't remember my exact scorecard, I'll have to re-score the fight so I can post it up. I gave Haye the first 3 that's all I remember + definately round 12, gave Valuev I think rounds 4-6 or 4 & 5 + 1 or 2 of the latter rounds. I think the only even round I scored was either 6 or 7. 7-4-1 to Haye. 116-113. He landed all the meaningful punches, and outlanded Valuev in the majority of rounds. That's all there is too it.
So you are scoring points for walking forwards and missing his target over avoiding being hit and landing crisp clean punches?
You are hilarious! watch the fight 10 times again and if you havent seen haye winning then go and get some glasses!
Originally I scored it for Valuev but when I reviewd again it with Jim Watt's commentery turned off I scored it for Haye, but close either way.
How many rounds Valuev landed more than 5 punches? Haye could've won that fight by jabbing to his body alone. You can make an argument for Valuev winning 3 rounds, but that's it. Rest goes to haye.
I had the same score, 116-112 Valuev. Haye backpeddled and ran throughout the fight and didn't throw or land many punches. Valuev at least pressed the fight, and he landed more than people are giving him credit for. It was a dreadful fight, but Valuev should have gotten the nod.
I had it 117-111 for Haye. He didn't do that much - but Valuev did absolutely nothing of any consequence. I'm honestly surprised there's even any debate about who won.
