Diaz got a hometown decision in Chicago. Also, Arum stood nothing to gain from Morales winning as it was his last fight. The ramifications of this fight are still held today, as Top Rank has been using Diaz and his WBC belt as leverage in keeping future Pacquiao fights in house. (To fight Diaz instead of JMM would keep all promotion within Top Rank's wallet).

Diaz won it clearly on my card and I had my money on Morales if i remember well Morales gassed out around round 8 or 9
Morales by a point I mean a draw is possible but how Diaz won still makes me wonder. I just dont know what judges see sometimes.
