What are you talking about, im countering all these idiotic Marquez got Robbed threads. I gave props to marquez for putting up a good fight, but i still stand by what i say, Pac clearly won.
Divac, For the record, IN YOUR RECORD, since time and memorial you NEVER ADMITETED that JMM LOST. Again this time he was robbed. I agree that fight was really tight and tighter than most of us expected. But in my eyes PAC won by split decision which like I said my my earlier POST if Pac wins by SD defenitely non pac fans will he JMM is robbed. It's happenning.... Anyway, hats to JMM for a brilliant fight. If Im the one to be followed if JMM wants a rematch and Guzman wants a piece of pac. I want the two to slug it out and whoever wins gets a crack at pacman... Going back to what I'm saying, I've said it time and again divac that you never admitted that JMM lost... So if you think JMM is robbed again. Man! JMM is unluckiest BOXER ever coz it would truly make him the ATR (all time robbed boxer) of all time. Next time, I hope you will be one of the judges of JMM fights. Surely he would not be robbed again. For a change divac, if you don't agree with the result. Don't always say..He is robbed! Now, since you did not like the results the judge is corrupt. But if you like the results it means the judge is not corrupt? It means the judge is only corrupt on the occasions that JMM lost?! Among the JMM fans around here I have respect on you as far as writing stuff about boxing and about marquez.. But like I said time and again you consistently and automaticall say the ffw if jmm LOST! 1) he was robbed 2) the judge is corrupt Anyway, after the fight I'm hats of to JMM for giving him his hardest fight of his career! The winner of JMM vs GUZMAN (another boxer who calls out pac) deserves the next match for PAC!
I just watched the fight on Setanta without knowing the result - it was a very close, exciting fight - I don't think there was a robbery - it was too close to call either way but I had JMM edging it. Here's my card: JMM 1,2,5,6,8,11,12 - 114 PAC 3,4,7,9,10 (Rnd 3 10-8 ) - 113 1 & 7 were very close I felt. I also think the ref should have called a second knockdown in rnd 3.
this fight was a toss up ... I tell you this ... I still think Pacquiao is one dimensional, but he showed some guts last night. He's fast and strong ... if it weren't for the knockdown, it wouldve been a clear cut victory for Marquez ... I had it 114-113 for Marquez ... but at the same time I was satisfied with Pacquiao winning. I don't think that Pacquiao was all there after the fight and really took alot of punishment. I have to watch the fight over some time ... I recorded it ...
Your card gives JMM every benefit of the doubt, and the idea that any round was a 10-8 (besides the obvious) is silly. You don't casually hand out 10-8 rounds. It was a dominant Marquez round, but he didn't deal out the sort of punishment that warrants the extra point. And I watched it again this morning to make sure. The fight obviously could have gone either way, but there's no reason for a scoring controversy.
Also, Divac, to be clear, I scored the fight 114-113 for Marquez. And this was after cheering for Pac and predicting that he'd win via TKO. Fair is fair, and JMM eeked out a close decision on my card. What I'm disagreeing with on this forum boils down to two things: 1) That the decision was a robbery 2) That there was a 10-8 Marquez round It's understandable that people would be disappointed, but it looks bad to cry robbery in such a close fight. Could have gone either way, and neither man's stock should drop as a result of this performance.
Brilliant fight! Would love to see a 3rd, but it might not be in the cards. Pac was just stronger and younger, a great in his prime, and has improved dramatically...JMM is a bit past his prime, but fought a near-perfect fight. Pac really showed some grit to work through that bad eye in the 8th. JMM also proved, once again, that he has the heart of a lion, by weathering a few really bad moments. How many fighters can get nailed by Pac, like he did, and not only survive, but work their way back into a position to win? These two really bring out the best in each other! I had the fight even: 6-5-1 for JMM, minus a pt for the kd; I had the 1st rd even. No one I watched the fight with griped about the decision, some disappointment, yes, but how can anyone argue the point? Great night for boxing.
