with the exception of round 7 which i scored for pac, exactly the same way i saw the fight. 7-5 114-113 jmm
can you also say that pac scored a 10-7 in round 3 since jmm almost dropped twice if not for the ropes?
That round was the round JMM opened that cut. JMM did pummel him that round, but I wouldn't call it a 10-8 round. I don't think Pacquiao was ever in danger of going down or really hurt. He just got his ass kicked, and in the context of the fight, it was odd to see such a dominating round. But I have seen more one sided rounds than that and not scored them 10-8.
THis looks like a typical PACfan scorecard for this fight so I'll use it to point out a couple of things: 1) most have admitted that round 1 could have easily gone to Marquez (but obviously our fanatical bias makes us give close rounds to our favorites) 2) Most if not all of the PACfan scorecards I've seen, gave round 11 to Pac. Ironically this is the one round where all judges scored for Marquez. You take that consensus PACfan score of 114-113, take away some of the bias change the scoring accordingly and this is easily 115-112 for Marquez. That's a 3 point difference, Was it a robbery? NO WAY, but I can understand why those who had Marquez up by at least 3 points are up in arms. The more I think about it, I DO WANT TO SEE JMM/PAC 3:deal
As the Pac diehard fan that you are, I know it is hard to admit defeat even in the face of it being clear..... ......I understand my friend, I know it was hard to see Pac get stylistically battered like that....I'll consider this post of yours a concession of defeat, without actually coming out and saying it!:yep
I think that there will be alot of people like yourself when rewatching the fight without any rooting interest who will find that they score the fight even wider for JMM! Please sit down and jot down a score for each round, I get the feeling that alot of you are basing a decision on how wide the scores should have been without actually writing down a score for each round.
I dont need to admit defeat i know my boy won a fight on a round by round basis, i have yet to see this schooling you and your fellow Die Hard JMM fans were claiming that would happen. Looks like we are just going to continue where we left off from the 1st fight, (which pac was robbed of :good ) Im just having a great time from those who say JMM was robbed, very entertaining to read .
Again Silvermags, just like I told Boom Boom, I'll take that as a concession that Pac lost the fight, as I know that posters such as yourself have to much pride for Pac to admit when he has been defeated. Great 3rd round that Pac had, I have to admit, there was too much time on the clock, and I felt at the time that Pac had a legit chance of stopping JMM as hurt as he was from that chance. Marquez dropped and limped to the canvas like he was out, but Jesus, thank God for his Warrior heart and his work at high altitude that helped him quickly recover from that big shot. ......but make no mistake, past the 4th round, it was all JMM but the 10th round. A dominant display of boxing by JMM, you will never admit it, but I'm content in the fact that of knowing that Pac hardcores such as yourself are hurting more in the fact that they deep down know that Pac lost, than JMM fans such as myself are frustrated somewhat that he was robbed. I dont think there is any question my friend, I feel better about JMM today than you do about Pac!:yep Its too bad that as a boxing fan, you have to go on living and posting a lie!:deal
.....and their supposed to be professionals Mirani. JMM gets hurt in a round, you judge that round and dont take the fact that he was hurt on to the next round. ....but there are alot of judges and posters around here that do! Its the wrong way to score. Each round is supposed to be scored individually, once a round is past its past, move on to the next one with a clean slate. You do that, and there is no doubt who the winner of this fight was!
114-113 PAC. I think i had it the same as Ledderman with the 12th round being the sole exception. very hard fight to score. marquez was outboxing him, but pac was landing the harder and more impactful shots. Marquez was badly hurt in rounds 3 and 10 too. The kd proved to be the difference.
Thats just the thing......Pac landed the harder shots of the fight as he hurt JMM in rounds 3 and 10, but he did'nt land the harder shots in most of the other rounds. You take the most of the other rounds besides 3 and 10, and by and large, JMM lander cleaner and harder shots! Its ridiculous how often Pac's head was violently being snapped back with sharp potent counters. I'll give Pac some credit, he's got a hell of a beard!
I scored it 7-5 Marquez, take away the knockdown and I would have it 114-113 for Marquez. Good close fight but I don't get this robbery thing. When there are close rounds then the scores will vary, this time in Pacquaio's favor. I see no problem with the verdict, unless you're a JMM fan or maybe lost some money on the fight.
114-113 is your actual score, you scored the fight for JMM my friend. Take away the knockdown and you would have it 115-113 in favor of JMM!
Boxing's integrity does'nt have to be questioned Mirani.....anybody who has a brain knows that its corrupt all the way to its core. The higher up's in boxing dont even go to any lenghths to hide that issue! Thats what is sad about the sport, everyone who witnesses the corrupt dishonesty time and again, knows that it stinks, and the only thing that higher ups like Jose Sulaiman do to say otherwise is say they take the carefullest of steps to insure everyone is treated fair.....yet it is the same judges giving us bogus decisions time and again. The same judge who scored 7-5 in rounds in favor of Manny Pacquiao in the first fight is still working........ Eugena Williams who scored the first Holyfield-Lewis fight for Holyfield is still working. That is just it, boxing does nothing to rid itself of corruption. How can it when it starts at the very top officials of the sport. How in the hell can they fire these officials in the first place when it is they who are pressuring them to score for the fighters they indirectly ask them to score for. We dont have to accept it, but we certainly do have to live with it. At the very end, its not an official judge that decides for me who won a fight. I do that for myself, thus I have a smile on my face after seeing the performance JMM turned in last night! :happy
