No way, my shots were classy educated ones you tried to take it to the trenches with ugly illegal **** and got made to look amateurish :yep Then just backed off and hope for a draw as always. Jdawg on points
I don't score even rounds for the simple reason that the judges don't. However it does skew fights that start slowly, fighters win rounds early for very little, and then the other guy has to grind out wins in the real tough rounds, but there's not much you can do about it.
i score even rounds all the time. if a round is close and there is no clear winner then why shouldn't it be scored even? a lot of scorecards should be much closer than they end up being due to judges unwillingness to score even rounds
thats like duke mckenzie scoring rounds for the home fighter as its what he thinks the judges will do
Score it as you see it should be rule #1. If it's even, it's even. If a fighter is nearly stopped, score it 10-8. If a fighter is competitive/wins a round in which he was decked, score it 10-9 either way. Aggression needs to be placed far lower in the list of priorities than it currently is, as does output.
I also score 'with the ref'. For example, when Barrera 'dropped' Morales in the last round of their first battle, the Referee incorrectly ruled a knockdown IMO. Now I didn't agree with that, but I deducted the point nonetheless. Therefore, my card for Barrera Morales 1 is 114-113 for Barrera. How it goes. Same goes, for point deductions for fouls, even if I disagree with them. I judge as if I was there so to speak.
If you mean "classy" in the sense that "Jordan is classy because she wears Armani" then you're absolutely correct. I stopped to consider what we were fighting for. The title of the most stubborn, up his own arse weasel on ESB. I was happy to let it be even but it seems my opponent is hell bent on taking that title for himself. Fair enough, you can make it 10/7 to Jdawg if you want :hey I'm just playing man, I'm just playing, but I had to :tong I score with the ref too, and I score 9/9 rounds too. In Froch Dirrell (you can tell I love this fight) there was a round where the ref took a point away from Dirrell. I scored it 9/9 cuz I thought Dirrell won that round had it not been for the deduction.
No classy because my points had basis, fact and didnt resort to swearing aka a posters 1st sign they know they're in the shitter. Fighting?? I suppose for a guy that gives 11 rounds even in a championship fight (only took a point away in the other coz 1 fighter farted) this is a fight. 9-9 rounds are different, coz there was a guy considered to have done enough to win the round but lost it on an infringement. Thats fair do's but not 10-10 the way you're scoring em All fun and games
The talk of 'close' rounds being even... no even is 100% level close means someone was better therefore 10-9. Like a 'close' decision is not necessary a robbery
Thank you! This is what Jdawg doesn't get. It has to be clear. If it's very close then it means you're not sure or are leaning one way but not 100% sure that guy deserved the round. That's why scoring it 10/10 is perfectly acceptable. "Wha da problem?"
No it isn't Show me the last official card where there are even rounds on it I don't see many cards, but when I do they never have even rounds - so why sit at home scoring even, and then wonder why the judges have it so different ?
Happens all the time mate, always see even rounds in 4-6 rounders scored by the ref over in the UK. Usually with prospects getting the benefit of them :yep Last official card with even rounds on it? Well I clicked on Boxrec and had a look at the last card that took place. An 8 round welterweight fight in Australia had a card of 79-74 by one judge. Must have been even rounds on that card.
