Good fight to watch and quite hard to score honestly as it probably depends on a persons preference whether they like inside fighting and aggression or outside fighting and more accurate punching.
For the 1st 8 rounds it was a close fight where every round was very competitive as de la Hoya was constantly pressuring mayweather and getting inside doing some serious bodywork with the hooks and uppercuts along with landing the harder punches more times and using the jab well. De la Hoya also implemented a high workrate. Whereas mayweather was very accurate and precise constantly landing with the right hand as well as finding a home for the jab which was doing well. Mayweather showed some great defense as well blocking and using head movement to keep out of trouble. Mayweather was doing the better work for longer parts of the round but de la Hoyas spurts of activity where he would pressure mayweather onto the ropes was working well as it would allow him to dig the body punches in which were de la Hoyas best punches. From the 9 - 11 rounds it looked like de la Hoya was gassed put and couldn’t apply the same pressure and workrate which were key in him winning round six so once this happened mayweather took over and outworkes he la Hoya as well as still being super accurate with the punches and showing nice footwork along with it. De le Hoya just seemed to exert most of his energy in the 1st rounds hoping to win enough rounds to coast to the end. In the 12th de la Hoya showed his second wind and this was arguably his best round landing some great shots, going toe to toe with mayweather and coming out on top. Mayweather was able to get to the end without too much trouble but de la Hoya showed he had some energy at the end to apply the pressure, up the workrate and land some cracking shots. At the end I thought if he upped the tempo earlier if he could then I could have seen de la Hoya winning this one but I had it 115 113 mayweather, have no problems with a draw or 116 112 mayweather. Be interested to know what everyone else scores this and give me some fight suggestions I should score next. @CST80 curious to know how u saw this fight in terms of scoring

Roughly the same, I had it 116-112, although 115-113 is fine as well.

Nah, its been about 7 or 8 years since I last saw it, but each time I saw it, the first and second, it was the same. I don't remember entirely, but I do know the one I had an issue with was early in the match, so... probably the second.

I had it 116-112 mayweather. I had it even after round 8 and like you said de la hoya gassed and mayweather took over the last 4 rounds.

Jermall Charlo vs Matt Korobov 160

    1 9-10 Korobov
    2 9-10 Korobov
    3 9-10 Korobov
    4 9-10 Korobov
    5 9-10 Korobov
    6 10-9 Charlo
    7 10-9 Charlo
    8 9-10 Korobov
    9 9-10 Korobov
    10 10-9 Charlo
    11 10-9 Charlo
    12 10-9 Charlo

    F 113-115 Korobov
    1 119-108 Charlo
    2 116-112 Charlo
    3 116-112 Charlo

I thought the cards were terrible. I scored 4 rounds as close but 2 went to each fighter so if I flipped them I'd have the same score. Upon revisiting Korobov was a lot more effective later into the fight than i initially remember and he gassed less than I thought he did. Charlo has flaws and I think flaws similar to Wilder: wide stance, maybe a little too complacent with his power,loads/telegraphs his right. I still think hes a top fighter at 160 but not quite what we were told by his biggest fans

Charlo did some things right vs Korobov:

    1) Never abandoned his jab despite it being tough to jab a southpaw
    2) Never gave up, kept throwing combinations, almost got him out of there late
    3) Made adjustments, he definitely narrowed his stance which allowed him to move better later in the fight
    4) After being aggressive he started to try and draw Korobov in and counter
    5) Finished exchanges with his left hook while Korobov was still in range and landed it several times and stunned him with the hook
    6) Especially early in the fight rallied when he got hit by a good left whether he landed or not which probably helped him win

Lamon Brewster vs Sergey Liahovich 12 Rounds WBO HWT Title

    1 10-9 Brewster
    2 10-9 Brewster
    3 9-10 Liahovich
    4 9-10 Liahovich
    5 9-10 Liahovich
    6 9-10 Liahovich
    7 10-8 Brewster
    8 9-10 Liahovich
    9 9-10 Liahovich
    10 9-10 Liahovich
    11 9-10 Liahovich
    12 10-9 Brewster
    F 112-115 Liahovich

Had this fight recorded on one of my many old VHS tapes and used to revisit it frequently but unfortunately the tape didnt record 6-7

Brewster is so underappreciated as a fighter, I see so many people on forums and Facebook and Youtube saying that heavyweight was dead for a decade or more and that there were no good heavyweight fights until recently. Brewster's whole title reign was wars from the Klitschko fight when he won the title to bulldozing Golota, going to war with Krasniqi and in losing his belt here.

Great analysis there pal, yer made some very good points there and yer score was a decent one as that’s probably the best I could give Charlo honestly. If Korobov had known he was going to be in a 12 rounder earlier and had prepared more this could have been even more comfortable for korobov

Great fight to watch and honestly one of the hardest I’ve scored as ioka outworked him throughout but nietes showed some great punch accuracy which was what made some rounds hard to score.
Both showed great defense and great ring iq throughout as well. Both are world class/elite level for sure and would love the rematch as it would be interesting to see if nietes could improved his workrate or if ioka could improve even more and if nietes starts deteriorating as he gets older. The best I could see for nietes is 7-5 to him but that’s it. Ioka clearly outworked him in the rounds the majority of the time. It’s not a robbery but nietes shouldn’t be have won for sure. Anyone got anymore more fights for me to score?

Good stuff and couldn't put it better about Brewster. People forget he boxed on the US amateur team. He really was/is very underappreciated. Thanks.
