Lara trout 10 9 Close 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 Close 10 9 10 9 10 9 9 10 Close 10 9 Close 10 8 10 9 119 108 A boring fight to watch in terms of entertainment but good to watch from a boxing point of view in terms of technical ability. It was a fight in which both had very similar styles going into it but Lara was the one who imposed his will and style on the fight and made trout chase him. Both did the same things throughout but Lara just had the better of him in every department. Lara had the better jab, shot accuracy, speed, power, straight left, right hook, shot selection, boxed better on outside, better footwork, higher ring iq , better defense and head movement and slicker. Trout did these same things well but not quite on Lara’s level. A dominant win for Lara in which I could give trout 3 rounds but that’s it. What fights should I score?
This content is protected Ruiz vs Parker Ruiz Parker 10-9 10-9 Close 10-9 10-9 Close 9-10 Close 10-9 10-9 Close 10-9 9-10 9-10 10-9 9-10 116-112 This was a good fight very entertaining with momentum swinging back in forth but Ruiz in control for the most part I could see it being ruled a draw or Ruiz victory I didn't think Parker deserved the victory tbh
Gonna be getting back to scoring fights now. @CST80 you alright to give us a list of good and close fights in the last 3 months or so pal thanks
If anyone’s got any fights from recent years they’ve scored and want to post it anywhere feel free to do it in this thread
Pacquiao Thurman 10 8 10 9 10 9 close 10 9 10 9 9 10 9 10 close 9 10 10 9 9 10 10 9 115 112 Thought I’d start my return with this one. A fun fight to watch in which Pacquiao turns back the clock and produces a quality performance. Overall Pacquiao showed great speed and power, nice footwork and utilised his angles well, nice jab, good straight left and nice punch variety to head and body, fast combos, showed heart and a good chin and high ring iq. Whereas Thurman showed decent power and speed, showed heart and a decent chin, landed well to body, good straight right, game on strong as fight went on and a decent overall performance but couldn’t quite match Manny. A close and competitive fight in which Pacquiao won in my eyes but what scores did everyone else have?
Here's a few from this year and last that you may have missed. Vargas vs. Hovhannisyan Vargas vs. Kameda Munguia vs. Hogan Taylor vs. Persoon Ramirez vs. Zepeda Kiladze vs. Alfonso Fiordigigilio vs. Danyo Butler vs. Kopylenko Greer vs. Potapov
Taylor persoon 10 9 9 10 9 10 close 9 10 9 10 10 9 9 10 9 10 10 9 9 10 93 97 Never really watched much women’s boxing but this was actually a fun scrap to watch and made me take notice of women’s boxing so that’s a good thing. Taylor did show some blistering combos, great handspeed. Taylor showed a good heart, chin and determination to do what it took to try turning the tide throughout. Showed good accuracy and shot selection and in general had more skill than persoon but persoon showed that professional experience does matter a lot as she roughed Taylor up hard and gave her a lesson in how pro fighting works. Nice combos and flashy skills ain’t gonna be able to win everything. Persoon showed swarming and pressuring Taylor could beat her. Persoon showed effort, high work rate, getting inside of Taylor and working both the head and body can slow Taylor and get through to her. Overall Taylor had Herndon’s little moments but the uglier but better work was done by persons with Taylor looking almost done in the 10th and in my eyes Taylor won a robbery and that’s not something I use lightly. What scores did everyone else have?
Spence Porter 9 10 close 10 9 10 9 9 10 10 9 9 10 close 9 10 10 9 9 10 9 10 close 10 8 10 9 114 113 A great scrap to watch from start to finish in which both fighters had some heat moments throughout and a very tough fight to score. Spence showed a good heart and chin, decent jab, boxes well on outside and inside, showed good shot variety, good speed and power and timed porter well at times when in his rhythm. Whereas porter showed a lot of heart and a good chin, did well in closing the distance down, nice jab, showed a lot of awkwardness throughout, decent shot variety, nice head movement and did great on inside. Overall a good fight in which I had Spence edging it but have no problem with a close porter win either. What scores did everyone else have?
Golovkin derevyanchenko 10 8 9 10 close 9 10 10 9 close 9 10 9 10 10 9 close 9 10 close 9 10 9 10 10 9 10 9 113 114 A good technical fight to watch throughout with it exploding to live at times throughout. Can definitely tell that Golovkin is well last prime with him not having much speed anymore and seemingly at times unwilling to go for it and content with sitting back and allowing derevyanchenko to outwork him. Overall derevyanchenko had a good jab, showing nice combos throughout, did well to body, throwing nice variety of punches, high work rate, good speed, good footwork, high ring iq and boxed well at mid range. Whereas Golovkin showed good power, decent pressure, landed well to head and body, landed some good hooks and overhand rights, nice jab, threw constant power punches and showed good heart and chin. A good fight in which I could see Golovkin a way but in my eyes derevyanchenko did enough to win this one. What scores did everyone else have?
