A few fights later at this point, and 4lbs higher up. Loma wins a title in his 2nd weight class in 7 fights. History making achievement, but actually a pretty 'meh' win. Another win over a champion though, so not all bad. By my count, Loma has beaten 10 champions in 15 fights... staggering. 11 if he got the nod over Siri, which he should've imo.

    Lomachenko KO5

Jesus Christ, what a KO! In fact, what a performance!

Against an orthodox, you can see his matrix footwork and shifting. You can also see him squaring up and putting more power in his shots.

Been a long time since I really watched a lot of boxing. Thought I’d do some scoring for abit of fun

What a boring 1st half of the fight it was. Seemed like Lomachenko just wasn’t quite there mentally. Seemed Afraid to throw and Lopez was able to win most of the rounds just due to activity really and some okay bodywork. As soon as lomachenko decided he was actually in a fight he seemed to just turn it on and start winning most the exchanges. Showed nice slick defense throughout and Lopez rarely landed up top till it became a firefight late on. Story of 2 halls how stay but for me I had it a draw and could go 7-5 either way and if I had to choose I’d go with lomachenko slightly but had it a draw
