Barakat isn't a joke either, beat Gevor a year or two back. He's a decent boxer and this is a decent win. I wonder what he will do next, nice to see boxing out in these country's.
I think they are planning on defending the title a few times out in Malta and developing some of the younger lads. there was only one Maltese lad on the bill and if they want to make it work they need at least one Maltese (inc Scott) in more than half the bouts. Steve Collins is involved with them and I think they are looking to go again in November. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QumvbCHZ4cw&feature=plcp[/ame]
That is one funny accent like, where is he from? I saw the Sevco tattoo and assumed Glasgow, but after watching that I'm not so sure...
Untapped potential to earn out there, maybe develop a new territory in which guys can get fights? if hes already living out there, why not.
Scott Dixon was posting on here a while back, about a year ago if I remember correctly. Remember seeing him in the crowd at the scotty Harrison- Steve Robinson fight, the lad seemed like a really nice fella, as most boxers are! He was great entertainment back in the day, had the gift of the gab as it were! Was the closest Scotland has ever came to producing a fighter as funny as Naz He had a big London fanbase as I think he ran a gym down there in his young days. His only problem was that he was good until you attacked his body, then he fell apart spectacularly! Im pretty sure that Farnell & Takaloo disposed of him when they realised he was weak downstairs & sunk the hooks into his ribcage... Im going on old memories now of course so dont pull ole dunk up if hes wrong! Cant believe he wants to fight Kenny Anderson though, but when you think of it the lad never ducked anyone. His win against jamie Moore was a classic, but sadly almost no-one got to see it as it was on some SKY digital channel back in the day.
