Only 2 KO's in 10 fights against journeyman. Is this bad news for Cardle moving forward?

I would say so. Power is not something you develop. You either have it or you don't. He should of knocked over the guy he was fighting on Saturday. Was all over him for 6 rounds but never looked like stopping him

It is a concern. Seen a couple of fights of him now, seen nothing that really impresses me or think he's got a very bright future. Kal Yafai is the opposite, really rate that lad and think he's going to be star.

Agree he looks a star in the making. Made easy work of a tough guy on Saturday despite habing one hand for 7 rounds

I don't believe a lack of punching power will hold him back, provided he turns out to be decent. Maybe at a very high level it would be a problem but there's nothing to say he can't do well.

Maybe he just needs to be a bit better in every other way to make up for it, maybe he's just developing slowly.

true...but british journeymen are tougher p4p than most country's journeymen. mainly because the real losers of the game are removed from the system quick if he had some sort of venom and spite by trying to throw a huge array of punches angles in bunches then he would stop them by tko. he has knocked guys hard just too passive.

Supposedly boxing two weights above his natural weight?. Not sure if that's true but i heard there's plans to drop in weight sooner rather then later.

That does make a difference, His style also doesn't allow him to land as powerful shots as say someone like Yafai because Scott's moving a lot. He's got to learn when and where to sit on punches. I'm sure it will come for him.

Also the guys he's been in with are tough fella's. Some only being stopped once or twice or stopped once every 20 fights like Razak etc.

I'd be more worried by flactuation in weight and getting cut. That's not good at all. But i think his style just needs to be tweeked a little and you will see a few more stoppages. Only 23 at the moment so still growing into things physically.

He's lost just one round in ten fights, has only been in the pro ranks a year and has plenty of time to develop some pop. You don't need devastating power to reach the top of the tree
