I’ve got 18/1 on a Fitzy stoppage, RDJ win and a Ricky Summers win. The latter is 7/4 on his own against Osueke...does anyone else think that’s good value? Osueke has just been beating puddings on points.

People have to understand that Fitzgerald is a very different fighter to Garcia, and styles make fights as we all know. Cheesemans whole thing is that he is super fit, and very tough. He counts on fighters not being able to hang with him into the later rounds, and being overwhelmed.
No one really knows how Fitz is going to cope with that.

The Fowler fight as I recall was reasonably high paced and Fitz was able to go the distance with no real issues. Fowler is a very different fighter, and not sure he brings the same kind of intensity that Cheeseman brings. Different kind of fighter, different kind of fight. Also Fowler and Fitz have history and a rivalry going back to the amateurs. How much did that effect Fitz's mentality going into the fight. Different people perform better under different confitions, and not only in boxing.

I have been more impressed overall with Fitzgerald and think he probably has the highest ceiling of the two. He will probably beat Cheeseman, but it's not as if it's a sure thing. Good fight on paper anyway and I am very much looking forward to this card.

    Maybe, maybe not.

Cheeseman has proved that he has a good chin though, and Fitz that he has power.

Also, didn't Fitz get put down by a journeyman earlier in his career?. How good is his chin?

Based off their last performances only, I got a feeling it doesn’t go 12. Too much aggression in their styles.

Adam Jones put Fitz down in his 5th fight in, IIRC, the 3rd round of a 6 Rounder.

I thought Fitz was lucky to get that decision, he was very sloppy that night by his standards. A steep learning curve.

    That's the one, thanks.

I think the biggest question mark over Fitz is his mental state. Seems a nice lad, but I think it's fair to say not the most stable.

Fitz has more power, better movement and a far better shot selection, a lovely left hook as one example.

Cheeseman blocks shots with his head much like Allen and Eggington. Entertaining but draining.

Fitzy via a late KO / RSF.

I’ve gone for a very risky one.

Bakole via stoppage. (I’m also going to have him in a single bet rounds 4-6).

    RDj points.

then.... Cheesman to win via stoppage!

    72/1 for the treble.

sorry, Bakole is an 8 rounder. So the single bet I’ve done on him is rounds 3-4. 7/1. I just think a combination of the lack of preparation, miles on the clock and the help of matchroom ref to get the stoppage and gain some hype for their man that we will see an early stoppage.

I’m either going small or large on Fitz/Cheese to not go 12

Small or large for Ritson fight to go under 10.5

Just deciding how ballsy I wanna be

I had him by 2 but could see a case for a draw or if you gave him the benefit of the doubt on absolutely everything then a very narrow win for Fitzgerald. The cards in his favor suggest to me that Cheeseman would have had to have absolutely dominated to get a decision.

Hearn laughably had Cheeseman 9-0 up after 9.

I thought Cheeseman had it in the bag after the ninth round and felt it was more a case of him losing the fight than Fitzgerald winning it.

He just never had it in the tank to keep it going through the championship rounds.

That is twice now that Fitzgerald has pulled it out of the bag in the closing rounds.
