Scott Harrison cleared to box

I wouldnt call liam walsh a bum...hes a lot better than that.

Not so sure he really is a blown up Super Feather but more like a boiled down Lightweight whe he boxes at Super Feather!! I'm sure Liam really struggles with making weight and we will see him campaign at Lightweight in the very near future. He is 28 now and he won't be able to keep boiling his body down forever, imo that is the reason that he struggled at times with the inactive Joe Murray.

 

Bum probably too strong but Harrison would have smashed him easily when at his peak.

 

If he's been taking gym classes,such as boxercise,if he can keep his nose clean theres a career after boxing there for him. Provided his manner is good,when sober,I would imagine people would flock to such classes because of who he is, Then maybe go the personal training route. I couldn't really see him having more than 2 or 3 more fights now. Although he gave a good account of himself against Walsh,who I rate as one of the best in the country around the weight,a bit underrated really. Wouldn't really want to see him against Woodhouse,as Im a bit of a fan of his,and if Harrison reproduced his Walsh form I think he would beat him.

 

Think he's making a mistake not fighting on the 27th. There is no reason he couldn't take an easy rust shaking fight. If he is as fit as he claims this sort of fight should be no problem for an ex world champ. Time is ticking. Reconsider Scott.

I am a fan of Scott Harrison and saw him half a dozen times at Braehead back in the day.

Now I've declared my credentials this question is just one of genuine interest and not trawling.

How did Scott manage to avoid going back to prison in Spain for a second time. He was found guilty and sentenced in his absence was he not? Do we not have an extradition treaty with Spain?

If he's simply refused to go back to prison my question is why did he go to trial in the first place? And having been found guilty why did he go back for sentencing, when now it appears he's free to not have to go back to serve a second sentence?

 

Is Harrison more of a super tennents man or md type of guy?

 

Okay so I have done a wee bit of research and can answer my own question.

Allegedly the Spanish police have never issued a European arrest warranty so Scotty is a free man.

Yes we have aan extradition treaty with Spain. Scott was banned because of a story in the Sun saying he was found guilty and was sentenced to 4 years in Prison. He then returned to Scotland, The Sun said he would be in a Spanish jail within weeks. So BbbofC suspended license, Scott said he was not facing jail in Spain, bbbofc then passed him pillar to post for best part of 1 year, he provided paperwork from his Spanish lawyer stating he was not facing jail. They now want a disclosure in Uk to make sure nothing against him here. So it would appear that the bbbofc took his license of him based on lies in a tabloid without giving him a hearing. Disgrace brushed under the carpet.

 

I think my mind was straying to "what might have been", if he'd never turned up for the first trial, not too excuse any misdeeds he may have done.

 

Was sitting in front of Harrison on Friday night and he's looking in good shape. Was telling us he'd been doing a lot of sparring with Limond. For all the bad press Scott gets, he was really good with fans the other night. Took some pictures and was chatting boxing to a few of us all night. I hope he overcomes his demons.
