Managed/promoted by Lee McAllister from what I gather and fighting under BIBA, which I don't know much about, is it just like a white-collar set up? He'll fight at lightweight and is aiming to win a world title. Does BIBA have it's own world champions or is Harrison chasing a fight against Lomachenko or Mikey Garcia? Everybody loves a tryer.
Not sure what the craic is with Biba. I'm not sure it is taken seriously. Boxrec don't acknowledge any of their bouts.
Well McAllister is the current WBU world heavyweight champion haha under the organisation wonder if he's on the shortlist with Wilder and Whyte for the April Joshua fight.
Scott Harrison's latest comeback gives me mixed emotions. On one hand I want him to do well, on the other hand I dont want him to box at his age. The way the BBBofC have treated him over the years has been shocking and is very double standards. At end of day he shouod have got a license and not had to go to a joke organisation to get one. On a positive note, if he can make ok money fighting D level fighters its better than him fighting top fighters at his age and risk g getting hurt (guys he would have beat in his prime).
To say he has/had a lot of demons is putting it rather mildly. Hope this refocus enables him to continue on the straight and narrow and stay on the wagon.
Not to sound pedantic but Harrison says he was promised it back when he finished his sentence. That's presumably one of the issues for the BBBoC that Harrison seems to ignore. He hasn't finished his sentence. He was released early presumably on licence and his sentence won't actually finish until next year.
I don't think he was released early. He served full sentence and accused the staff at shotts prison of if treatung him unfairly and was refused parole a few times even though he was no bother inside.
He must have been as he got a 4 year sentence and was only extradicted to Spain in 2015. You can apply for parole after serving half a sentence but he would have been automatically released after two thirds of his sentence.
Many fighters over the years have been granted a license off the bboc while on licence but out of prison . Seems they have been a bit harsh on Harrison when was he actually in trouble all these problems and sentences are from years ago that have just taken forever to sort out/serve. they should give Harrison a chance
