How does everybody think the fight would have gone if Scott Harrison had fought Nicky Cook when they were supposed to? I thought at the time without knowing much about cook that Harrison would have smashed him up easy, but after seeing him give AAA such a hard time I'm not so sure. I think it would have been a great fight.
Fit Strong Focused Harrison brutally busts up Cook and stops him in middle rounds. A unfocused, un-trained Harrison struggles with Cook who may nick it on points if he rose to the challenge. Harrison far superior and would of decimated Cook IMO.
Yeah Harrison would be too strong and i reckon would've stopped Cook somewhere between the 4th and 7th The only way Cook could've won is if he tried to nick it on points like the Arthur fight,but i reckon Harrison would've caught him sooner or later
The only comparisons between Harrison and Arthur is that they're both Scottish and they're both rather dislikeable. As a boxer Harrison was leagues above Arthur.
I agree that Harrison was a far better fighter than arthur but by the time of this fight his personal life was getting out of hand and maybe we had seen the best of him. Interesting to see what everybods thoughts are.
I'm not saying he would have had a career of unified titles and glory nights in Vegas but had he kept winning and stayed on the right lines my oh my he would've been involved in some tidy bust-ups. Oh Harrison v Arthur would've went 8 rounds. Arthur's rib ticklers wouldn'tve deterred Harrison from being constantly in his face en route to breaking him down painfully. And Harrison v Cook - well Nicky would've went out on his shield after 6
A fully fit and focussed Harrison is a level above a fully fit and focussed Cook. Cook just can't absorb the kind of punishment, and move and punch for the full 12 rounds, like guys like Medina and Polo could, who gave Harrison problems.
Harrison Wouldve stopped Cook inside 5 i think it would have been similar to the Harrison-Brodie fight in fact i dont even think it would have been as much of a fight as that even though it only went 4 rounds.If Martinez stopped Cook then theres no doubt Scott Harrison wouldve beaten Cook comfortably.
Harrison would have won regardless, the AAA that Cook beat was a shadow of the AAA a few years before. Prime Harrison (without the problems) could have been fighting the very best, by that i mean guys like MAB/EM/PAC/JMM and even then CHI I always thought he'd get the better of CHI, and i think a fight against MAB no longer at the peak fo his powers would have been mouth watering, JMM would be all wrong for him though. P.S. anyone got the Harrison vs Wayne McCulloch fight?
