Its not that difficult to imagine....any half decent version of Scott Harrison would hammer Alex Arthur

Disagree that Harrison would beat Arthur, I think that Arthur would outpoint Harrison fairly easily.

I was at Harrisons last fight and that was over two years ago and in between times he's not always been in shape. I think it would be very hard for him to come back successfully.

His biggest battle will be to persuade the board to give him his ticket back.

Its quite simple really, listen to the documentary properly.

The guy is no hardcore boxing fan like the types you will bump into here,(although there are very few clued up boxing fans left on brit ESB if you ask me, but thats for another post!)

I cringed listening to the narrator proclaim Harrison to be Scotlands finest, IMO he COULD have been the finest, he was one great win away from eclipsing Buchanan, Lynch & Watt. If Scotty had beaten JMM or Guzman(fights that fell through) then he would truly have been the man up here. He didnt though, end of story. So he doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Lynch, Buchanan or Watt in the cold light of day, & its all his own fault.

However, as usual the anti-scottish moron brigade are out in force as usual, trying to tell us all that Scotty was worse than Audley etc... Thats why I dont post much anymore. Cos it aint fun arguing with the moron brigade anymore, Im getting too old to waste my time with the influx of football fan style posters that seem to be taking over the place now.

& thats sad. Well for me anyway.

Unfortunately I don’t think SH will step foot in a ring again. By his own admission on the documentary, he thought he was looking at 5 years. Also with this case hanging over him, I don’t think he will get a license.

Scott was a great fighter- a little one dimensional and over reliant on his strength at world class but in lineal terms he was certainly a contender. Through his gifts away but still achieved a hell of a lot.

Scott was a good pressure fighter who could wear his opponents down, he certainly had good physical strength coupled with a granite chin which made him very hard to beat. Despite his personal demons outside the ring, Scott was a good champion, never ducked opponents, gave the fans toe 2 toe wars, in many ways he was a throw back fighter.

He's still got a court case in Spain to be resolved before he can think about getting his boxing licence back. The court case is apparently scheduled for some time in 2009. Fairly serious charges he faces over there with a possible custodial sentence.

The fella needs to get his life sorted before he even thinks about boxing again.
