Scotty had his time, & no matter how quick he gets out of jail? he wont be back. He will be straight back in the pub on release, hes got a history of it. Very sad that we never got to see if he could hang with the best, cos even when he was on the slide & hooked on drink & drugs, he was still able to beat the Brodies & Husseins of this world.
I will always wonder if the Harrison that cleverly outboxed Chacon & gave McCullough a beating could have beaten Marquez, or Guzman. He wouldnt have beaten Pac, but he should have at least had a fight with one if he didnt implode so spectacularly.

But hey ho he blew his chance, & now Ricky Burns IMO has already beat a better fighter than Scotty ever did, & if he wins his next fight & beats Fana? He pisses all over anything Scotty has ever done, & Harrison will be a forgotten man to everyone but to the hardcore fans on messageboards like these who remember just what a tough ******* Scotty was back in his prime. Hell he could be outboxed by tall runners, but there werent many out there that could have went toe to toe with Scotty & not be brutally knocked out!

was one of my favourite fighters before he hit rock bottom & i always thought he would manage to sort himself out and get back boxing again. its a real shame & waste of talent...

hes got another pending trial according the the notw,3 assualts at 2 years a piece he could be facing but he may be transferred back to scotland to do the time, hes on suicide watch atm.if found not guilty id imagine scott will be free to go from this current sentence and then he can start rebuilding his career(whats left of it)

When did he show this tremendous boxing ability?

He was a slow, methodical slugger with below average athletic ability. Walter Estrada rocked him and he was easily outpointed by Medina. Any top level fighter would have punched holes through him.

Harrison was tough and strong as hell, in his prime he'd have beaten Burns but he will be no match for Burns now if he came back, he will probably not even be 50% of the fighter he was.

I'd love to see Scott get all his troubles behind him,but if he were to fight again he wont fight burns for two reasons.
    1. Scott will never make 9st 4lbs not even 9st 9lbs, i see Scott as a 10st fighter now IF he comes back.
    2. Ricky would beat Scott.

Theres no chance harrison would've been competitive with marquez. Savaged and spat out in 5/6 max

Yeah but Ricky gets over powered and man handled with a fit prime harrison. Also harrison gets wasted at 140 if he comes back at that weight
