FORMER WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison will find out tonight if he will be granted the return of his boxing licence.
The 34-year-old’s case will be pled by representatives of the British Boxing Board of Control’s Scottish Area Council before a full meeting at their Cardiff HQ.
the last remaining obstacle to Harrison being reinstated as a pro has been cleared.
That happened when Strathclyde Police produced full disclosure confirming he had no further criminal cases to answer pertaining to his troubled period outside of the ring following his last fight on November 5, 2005, when he defeated Australian Nedal Hussein in what was the final defence of his title.

Look Scott has served his sentence and if there are no outstanding legal issues give him his licence. The board of control has no right to punish a man for a crime he's already been punished for.

I hope Scott has got his head sorted and I hope boxing will provide him with some much needed focus.

Given his history, no doubt his comeback fight be against Jane Couch, at least with her she knock the **** out unlike his past female targets.

I hope Harrison has learnt from past mistakes. I do wonder though if the pressure of boxing is really required in his rehabilitation at the moment though.

I think he should be all means get involved in a sport that he clearly had a lot of time for in the past. But perhaps he should use his knowledge and past experiences to help train future talent.

Harrison has made mistakes in past, but has been punished for them, and the sport should get behind him, but as a non participant.

But that is all personal opinion, I am sure some experts will be able to advice the BBB of C of what should be done.
