Was the draw warranted, or a gift for Norton?

I know Norton was down twice in one round against a guy who always screamed of being a poor mans Tex Cobb to me, right down to the crazy hairstyle.

it was a gift in the fact that ledoux should have been declared the winner by TKO in that last round the way norton was staggering and almost went over the top rope

There are some who also say that the Tex Cobb fight was also a gift decision for Norton. Haven't seen it myself.

Norton faded very badly after LeDoux thumbed him, but very thoroughy outboxed him over the first several rounds and was flagrantly robbed of a decision that was rightfully his. Kenny showed fine skills in this one, especially with his hook to the body, pummeling LeDoux with it repeatedly.

I too, have never seen either Ken Norton's fights with "LeDoux or Cobb." However, I think Norton told Cobb after the fight in 1980: "You whupped my ass." But Norton was coming off a KO loss to Earnie Shavers when he beat Texas Cobb on a disputed decision.... Norton was just collecting money when he fought Texas Cobb.....

As for the fight with Scotty LeDoux, I haven't the slightest idea what happened or what went wrong there..... Deep down, Ken Norton is / was a better fighter than LeDoux... It just may've been an "Off" night for Norton.... Who knows??

    P.S.

Scott LeDoux was a good fighter and he fought good fighters, but he was just a cut BELOW the elite crop of heavies..... Cheers....

BIG DEE HERE= One the biggest screw jobs of the last 30years as the fight should have
been a KO loss for Norton. I watched the damn thing and LaDoux took every thing Norton could throw for 9 rds. LaDoux came out for the 10th rd and beat the crap out or Norton. With 15 seconds to go in the fight LaDoux had Norton laying over the top rope out cold and the referee just let the time run out instead of stopping the fight.
LaDoux should have just hammered him as it turned out instead of stepping back and getting screwed over like he did the referee should have been removed from ever refereeing another fight ever again.

    My opinion on this fight:

LeDoux should have beaten Ken Norton. Norton was dancing OVER THE ROPES at the end of the fight, he was out of it, the fight should have been stopped right then and there as Norton was out on his feet. He got robbed in this fight.

Yeah, and I find it hypocritical how to this day, he cries about Holmes thumbing him when he thumbed others himself.
