    Except for Kovalev that is.:lol: But it took him drinking himself into a coma in between fights to do that, and even then he could win 10 out of 10 rounds against Canelo before it happens.:D

    He wasn't get battered from hard shots but it was clear Quigg was done. Corner should have pulled him earlier.

    Quigg was a beast down at the lower weights but he just doesn't have it anymore. I was very impressed with Carroll tonight though and thought he looked better than ever.

    im not too bothered with the stoppage, but carroll wasnt hurting quigg too bad until these later rounds, it was a schooling more than a fury vs wilder mauling. framps also did the same to quigg, scott then went on to take about 3 of the last 5 rounds and hurt framps. i think carroll was taking it easy on quigg.

    Carroll might not be a banger but it's the cumulative effect of all the shots that does the damage and Quigg had no hope of winning. Better to err on the side of caution in these situations.

    Fights should be decided by the fighters, not by squeamish refs or corners. Fights are stopped too quickly today. In the old days, they let fights go to their natural conclusion.
