Rhodes keeps switching stances, landing jabs to the body. Rabchenko has his arms crossed in front of his face, coming forward and letting Rhodes land right jabs at will to get inside. Rhodes is staying off the ropes, jabbing well. Big right hand wound up by Rabchenko, but doesn't get through cleanly. Rhodes circles past him close, taking a partially deflected right hand across the bottom of the chin but landing a counter right hook. Rabchenko working very busily, throwing overhands and uppercuts. Rhodes is slipping and blocking, pushing his jab out into Rabchenko's face. Rhodes is clipped on the outside by a lunging left hook. Uppercut inside by Rabchenko. Slaps to the body by Rhodes. Jabs keeping Rabchenko out down the stretch, until a big push to the ropes at the bell.

Rhodes is caught by a right hand backing up to the ropes as Rabchenko keeps up his slow and steady high-volume attack. Rhodes keeps working his way off the ropes pot shotting right jabs and spitting Rabchenko with accurate straight lefts...but they're growing fewer and further between. Rhodes steps in slapping a right hook to the kidney, but loses his footing and just caresses him instead.

That round, you can say Rabchenko's work rate outweighed the quality but limited nature of Rhodes' work.
