I know people who rate Jordan highly saying he can punch very hard and he will be the bigger guy by a long way in the ring on the night, Jordan making the weight will be a major factor in this fight imo

I have heard this for a while also but his record doesn't show any kind of puncher. He will be taller but bigger I can't see. Good fight if Jordan is as good as everyone says. I don't see that but time will tell.

Hard ones for the other Scottish lads can't see Simmons or Butcher winning both really up against it hope I'm wrong.

Traynor fight is interesting 2 very very good boxers. If Darren sticks to a game plan I give him a huge chance against a good Ryan Walsh. Walsh will be favourite but I can see Darren winning on points

Lets be honest this is the bleakest period for scottish boxing Ive seen.

Ricky Burns seems to be a shadow of the fighter he was before the jaw break.
Darren Traynor was competely out of his depth against Ryan Walsh. Cornish proved to be a joke, etc.

Theres only Josh Taylor worth keeping an eye on.. almost all the so called prospects end up failing to get to domestic level.

ricky burns was our shining light for too long but i agree he has looked very shaky since the jaw break.
darren traynor was a bit out of his depth but he had only had 11 fights and took the fight on 4 weeks notice so its unfair to write him off just yet but he needs to be fighting higher class opposition from now on.
i always thought that gary cornish was never going to amount to much, he ducked the open scottish to turn over after 9 fights falsely claiming that ross henderson wouldn't fight him lol then he got fed blown up light heavies and cruisers before being knocked out. hope ross pulls his finger out and shows cornish who the real heavyweight is in scotland.

josh taylor is a great prospect, so are stephen tiffany, charlie flynn and also joe ham.

i think scottish boxing is struggling with the lack of tv coverage.

yeah there was always one guy holding it up for scottish boxing at world level since Ive been watching boxing.. It was Scott Harrison then Alex Arthur then Ricky Burns. And at British title level there was always solid guys like Paul Appleby, John Simpson..

You're right about the TV coverage, Frank ****** when he was the number 1 UK promoter always used to bother with Scotland and now he doesn't have any scottish boxers, and since Hearn has become the main man hes focused on a almost exclusively English stable.

Joe Ham never impressed me as an amateur so I'm not in a hurry to watch his pro fights yet. Flynn is good yeah could get to a good level, but lacks power, and Ive heard he was chinny in the amateurs.. Never seen Tiffany. Reece Mcfadden in the ams is quality , I wiwish he would turn pro because of the corrupt biased GB coaches not giving him a shot despite him beating all the GB sqaud boxers!

mike towell can certainly punch and he destroyed robert dixon in their title eliminator.

ronnie clark also ko'd jordan despite being a long way behind on all the cards but fair play he found the punch to finish th fight:good

hopefully one of these lads get the chance to fight for the british as it would be great for dundee and scottish boxing:good

bare in mind Towell was dropped by a complete non puncher, I'd be very concerned

He wasn't a long way behind a couple of rounds down on 2 judges.. Punch was brutal. Jordan still hadn't recovered when the decision was being announced.. If Walsh vacates as everyone thinks Ronnie will have a great shot at a very open division.

Mikey has it a bit harder. Skeete will be very hard to beat

i was told it was 4 behind, 3 behind and 1 behind going into the last so on 2 cards he was well behind :good

jordan would have been hurt if they hd let him carry on i can say that and i spoke to him about a half hour later and he still seemed a bit 'out of it' ronnie looked massive on the night though:good

id like to see ronnie vs martin j ward or maxi hughes next until its decided what happens with british title

id give mike a chance in the first 4 rounds against skeete and if he could impose his style then he could win. if skeete managed to get his jab working then it would be a hard night for mike. :good

mike was dropped because he had absolutely no fear of the punches coming his way and he was over eager. a flash knockdown and recovered to destroy dixon :good
