There was one before, but it fizzled out, no point really. Alas I cannot say independence on this agenda!
i used to write a boxing blog ,covering mostly scottish pros.it was ok but its alot of hard work ,and its almost impossible to attract any sponsership for it. You also need to look at the time it takes to contact boxers,do the interview and typae it up and edit etc . im not trying to put you off ,just want you to be realisitc with the time it takes to get things up andrunning and to maintian a certain level of news stories .in the end i couldent do it as much as i wanted, simply because i had to use my time to study amongst other things. as for covering ams and pro's .i tried a few times to get stuff anf qoutes and found the am's very frusrating from the trainers to the people who run it .didnae bother much in the end with them and focused on the pro's who were always happy to give you there time also mate ,you have to look at the bigger picture ,there aernt enough shows to sustain a proper website.look at how many shows a month on average we have compared to the likes of ireland and wales ,wit hte exception fo the st andrews sporting club, there aint promotors putting on monthly shows reguarly .Alex morrison migth do 3-4 a year, chris gilmour about the same and prospect about the same. Frank ****** shows are not a given either
It could be done but it would really be a labour of love and be small for quite a while. If someone had the time and determination it could certainly be done - just look at slapbangwhallop. A scottish version of that is eminently doable, promote it on the forums yourself, have good quality video interviews, articles etc. Yeah it would cost you money for a good while but if your a boxing fan it could be done
Get a cheap/free domain subdomain, probably find some ad free, free hosting somewhere that could handle the bandwidth. Its the time and effort it would take more than anything, I'm gonna give it a go in the summer if I have time.
That could be a good shout. But you would really need to market it it the right way for people to come on it and give their input.
