would like to see not just michael roberts pushed on but also david brophy,

michael roberts because it seems he doesn't want to step up lol he hasn't even done an 8 rounder yet in 5 years. lol

david brophy also needs to step up the opposition, billy nelson has made us aware that he is sparring top top guys and is improving all the time so i would like to see him in an eliminator for luke black ledge commonwealth title or even a step up with an eliminator for the british.

good to see ross henderson turning over and i wis him the best. great guy to talk to and can box a bit. wonder how long before he eyes a clash with gary cornish? ross has tons of amateur experience and imo he could be ready for a scottish title fight against gary after 5 or 6 bouts.

good luck to all the lads tonight

Is Cornish sticking with it? I thought he was packing it in after the AJ fight.

Don't think there are any other Scottish HW out there so he may not get the opportunity to fight for the Scottish Title.

Would be good to See Michael Roberts Step up against Ronnie. Ronnie needs to take a step back before trying to get to British level again. Michael needs that step forward would be a good meet in the middle fight for the Scottish Title. I don't think it will happen but it would be good for Scottish boxing.

David is one fight away from fighting for the commonwealth and I'm 100% confident he will win the Commonweath when he challenges for it, you say your a coach boxingcrazy well surely you understand these guys have got to get a grounding in the pro ranks or would you rather just fire them in there, it's easy to be a brave coach when your not the one taking the punches
Good luck to all the boys tonight

don't think he'll retire tbh, he enjoys his boxing and knows he could maybe still nick the commonwealth or even british once dillies whyte,, aj etc step up. he needs to be rebuilt with a better standard of opponent though lol no more 6ft light heavies!! lol

i dont understand why your being defensive? i only mentioned id like to see him step up in opposition lol of course i understand that boxers need to get a grounding as you say in the pro game but i actually think it has been down to the management of david not the coaching etc.

i love your quote about being a brave coach by the way! lol coming from the coach who when his boxer had a busted jaw and told you he was in agony and wanted out, kept him boxing on and kept his title as you say but at the cost that ricky burns is not even the best lightweight in britain and looks scared to take a clean shot. pot, kettle, black comes to mind mate lol

i have spoke to michael about that fight but i get the feeling michael doesn't want it but he also claims he is a featherweight but looks much heavier.

Looking at brophys record, to be fighting journeyman 4 years after turning pro, surely its time to step him up.

thats a decent fight, he's past his best but miles better than anyone else he has faced to date and get him in the ranking for commonwealth

Agreed, he's only lost to decent fighters and only Groves has managed to knock him out.

Going to be a big task for David to get anywhere near British Title level he just hasn't been moving along and stepping up the opposition often enough, don't know if that's down to him or his management who maybe know his limitations

i love guys like you. you havent a clue with respect, at no point did ricky want or ask to be pulled out the fight FACT!!!!
Maybe if you concentrate on your own fighters instead of making comments on others you may achieve something with one of them, however with the attitude you have i think that is unlikely.
at the time ricky was easily the best lightweight in the uk, and lets be honest done more than any boxer from edinburgh in the last 30 years:hi::hi:
