david seems to have a good managment team behind him now, what they've said they've done. david could have been doing 10 rounders over 12 months ago he sells many many tickets but for whatever reason before he went to MGM he never got the chance
maybe because you were involved with the fight you never remembered but 1 round in the corner ricky told you his jaw was gone and you told him 'ricky your the champion keep going' or along that lines. i would need to rematch to tell you for definite. at that time ricky was head and shoulders above every lightweight in britain but can you say hand on heart that since that beatdown by beltran that ricky hasn't looked a shell of the fighter that beat martinez? he is probably around 5 in britain now wouldn't you agree? i notice you mention the last 30 years in edinburgh! lol but he would never have lived with ken buchanan would he! lol ricky is still well behind scott harrison, ken buchanan, benny lynch, walter magowan in the best ever scottish fighters and because he is now on the decline and would struggle with the domestic lightweights
i agree with that, he has been stitched up by the judges over the last few scottish amateur championships. decent power, great skill and can be vulnerable. he will be a fans favourite and i will pay to watch him anytime.
was brilliant mate e was taking the **** out of Terry Tibbs grandad dieing of cancer and was acting up ere asking for a fyt, tibbs went to his hometown and he didnt show
he hasnt exactly done well since being trained in england has he, although id still say he 2 or 3 in UK
Billy's watched your presser with Scott Allan and Jamie Wilson, you later Tommy gilmour all over here and boxrec and now you totally licked his rectum calling him one of best Managers and how your gonna learn from it etc, is it hard to be that two faced? For such a gutsy sport it's full of *****yness and sly people, the only good people Iv met in boxing are the actual fighters.
jamie i never got on with Tommy for years but thats not to say i don't respect what he's done, not agreed with everything he says or does but you cant knock what he's done.
Some decent talent on the card tbh, Mick Roberts just needs a couple of fights then a title shot. I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted to be in this position. Big Rossco making his debut, a true gent and hope he goes on to having a great career. As mentioned i'd like to see him vs Cornish down the line and they have a wee bit of history from a few years ago but have never shared a ring. Lewis Benson is a highly skilled silky boxer and I have read some rubbish on this thread about him being lucky over the last few years. He moved up in weight and won the Scottish Title and the GB's if I remember correctly whilst weighing well under the weight. Lewis and Terry will work hard and I'm sure he will do very well. Hopefully David Brophy comes through tonight without injury so he can get his fight with Adamu before Christmas. That fight is the perfect step up before challenging for a title and imo a fight against Luke Blackledge is a winnable one. Luke is strong and game but could be outboxed if you can keep him off you. Not sure about Marc Kerr, anyone know anything about him? Can someone post results when they know them thanks.
