    PAUL and STEPHEN SMITH have joined Joe Gallagher's gym - Paul's next fight likely to be an 8 rounder in April. Purse bids for Swifty vs John Simpson due on 9th Feb- fight expected to take place in March

    JOHN WATSON - Watto's team are working on a second British title shot on Matchroom's 12th February bill in Liverpool (George Groves also set to appear on the card)

    DERRY MATHEWS - Next fight will be on 16th April at the Liverpool Olympia - opponent to be confirmed soon

    TONY QUIGLEY and CARL DILKS set to appear in the next Super Middleweight Prizefighter in Liverpool on Wednesday 23rd March. Rumours of a ROBIN REID appearence continue to circulate.

    Exciting times ahead in 2011 for Merseyside boxing with Bomber's rematch with McKenzie for the Lonsdale belt just over the horizon

    ..And good luck to Tony Dodson in this weekend's Prizefighter!

    I asked this question the other day is Simpson rematching Lindsay or does the boards call for purse bids of Smith Simpson overrule this?

    simpson only got his shot at lindsey coz smith broke his hand, so i think its only fair smith gets the shot before lindsey

    I agree it does make sense Smith was/is mandatory for the British and already holds a win over the current holder so seems fair enough

    I wonder why Smith doesn't go into Prizefighter? A move back down to Middleweight, maybe?

    Agreed. I think it was just a case of F.W. giving him the opportunity at the British SMW title and he couldn't let it pass him by.

    Any news on where the prizefighter will be held, probably way too early for ticket details.

    Hopefully get a few of these in, had a great night at the olympia watching Derry last Saturday.
