I'm seriously shocked at your change of heart but I appreciate your sentiment. I don't understand why he feels the need to keep that shitty strap even if he does want to fight Pavlik. I'm surprised at what you're saying about Dawson/Tarver but I also understand where you're coming from. In some ways it would be better for Joe to settle at 175 & create some kind of legacy there.

 

this is pathetic, for months now this website has gone on and on about why calzaghe must fight pavlik, he gives us a strong hint it may well happen after jones and he is now critisised for ducking the winner of dawson v tarver! for all we know he may be planning them after jones so he can retire a 2 weight world champion

 

For the first time ever in history I am going to defend Joe Calzaghe. If he intends to hang on to the WBO belt, and fight Pavlik, that is a much smarter move than staying at LHW. Joe does not have the size, strength, or punching power to deal with the light heavies.

As for fighting a middleweight in Pavlik forget about bashing him for that. Kelly has fought above the 160 limit 12 or 13 times. He's fought above SMW 5 times, and all those bouts ended in KO's. Pavlik enters the ring at 168-172 when fighting at middleweight. Furthermore, he plans to move to 168 after the Abraham fight anyway.

 

People cried for Pavlik more so he's giving them that, he can't do everything at once. If he ditches Pavlik then he's scared of Pavlik and if he ditches Dawson/Tarver winner then he's ditching that. Time to ****ing wake up, he's at the very end of his career, it's more than enough to see him call for Pavlik after his next fight.

If he fights Pavlik then he's ducking the winner of Dawson v Tarver , if he fights the winner of that he will slated for ducking Pavlik LMFAO hey say he fights and defeats , Jones , Tarver / Dawson winner then Pavlik ? don't tell me he should have taken out Merchant in his final post fight interview . lol
