Tried to decide which Klit thread to post in but theres 1000 of them. This fight was horrible. Wlad sucked, Ibrigmov sucked. When one fighter is doing as horribly as either of these guys the other one should step it up. And **** that **** about it being a tactical fight by Wlad, he was afraid to do anything bottom line. He even admits to it when he says he was afraid of missing and being off balance. A tactical fight would have been getting this guy your dominating down and out before he "hits you with some crazy ****", as Manny once said to Lennox Lewis about Mike Tyson. Im not gonna insult Wlad beyond this fight and say he sucks or anything, he was looking good before this, but lets face it, this fight was a disgrace and I personally think *I* could have done better against either of these guys than they did against each other. But at least Ibragimov tried. Hey Wlad were paying your damn bills so howbout actually trying to entertain us on your next million dollar fight. Oh and a poll about the quality of this fight had an option at the bottom that said something like "Makes Byrd vs ToS look exciting" a few people clicked it as a joke..but whod have thought.
Absolutley agree with your post. .....and when both fighters are on the defensive, yes one should step it up.....more often than not, the fighter that is overmatched is going to stay in his shell, and who can blame him....... Vlad had all the physical advantages over Sultan, and Vlad was the fighter the MSG crowd went to see. So obviously he should have stepped it up and forced Sultan to have to fight. The whole fight was just a big disapointment. .....and nobody was asking Vlad to start a brawl.....jab, use your feet to move, jab, right hand, hook, throw some combinations for Gods sake......its called boxing.....what Vlad did against Sultan was far from it!
1. Klitschko wasn't doing horribly, he was winning. 2. You'd get knocked out by Klitschko (see Klitschko vs. Austin).
I rewatched the fight yesterday and I think Sultan tried hard to win that Oscar for Best Supporting Role in a Profesional Fight. But a guy that takes shots like he did in the end of the 9th ( two 1-2s) and the 11th ( double right hook), deserves to be remembered only for the Olympic Silver Medal against Savon - he always was destined to be second best from the start.
How the **** is winning every single round doing horrible? This is a ******ed, un-needed, and ridiculous thread. Add it to all the other stupid threads about how a dominant performance sucked and throw em all in the trash where they belong.
-The Five Stages of Grief- 1. Denial 2. Anger 3. Bargaining 4. Depression 5. Acceptance Congratulations on passing stage 1.
OK, I get it, two olympic medalists suck. Are you sure you are the right forum? Did you think of joining pro wrestling forum?
