Based on how well they're doing as pros I think you're just in denial about how impactful their long amateur careers are, they will dominate the sport for years to come, resistance is futile. :deal
id favour browne too but it would be a competitive fight. neither of these guys will have what it takes to reach the top of the 175 division in the future though
Edwin Rodriguez is actually the best non Ward Light Heavyweight in the US. He would probably beat both Browne and Monaghan with relative ease.
true but he still has a lot of talent imo, however hooped is a complete loose cannon and has spent the last 8 months in jail I believe . he has reportedly been addicted to drugs since the age of 8 but turned he's life around and became a good amateur but he still seems to get into some drunken shenanigans
Yes I saw that it was to a kickboxer IIRC. He was a good amateur though and he impressed me in the few amateur fights I saw of his.
I didn't know that. I knew he had discipline issues and a bit of a bad boy reputation but I didn't know he was a drug addict.
I don't think he is on drugs anymore at all but stated that he began using drugs at 8 years old he got the prision sentence for knocking a neighbour out cold with one punch that left him have a seizure on the ground and foaming at the mouth because he tried to intervene in a fight he was having with he's partner. he also was in court a while ago and had a suspended sentence I believe for assaulting a taxi driver
I got the impression he reveled in his bad boy reputation a bit in one of the interviews I saw of his (this was back in 2012 during the Olympics though) but it looks like he has a real drink problem judging by this interview I just found. Apparently his brother died too and it hit him really hard. [YT]MDmIPMfNtok[/YT]
