    Bubblegum Kid vs. Boom Boom.

This one actually could have happened.

Two exciting, but flawed, warriors with different approaches.

    Who wins?

Mancini beats him up and stops him.

Mancini was great, O'Grady wasn't at all.

Mancini wasn't great. This wouldn't dictate how the matchup goes anyway, as history shows us.

But yes, Mancini would likely batter O'Grady.

I think O'Grady was a better fighter overall. He would go to Mancini's musclebuilder body from the off w/ hooks and right hands and be the better boxer too. Mancini starts throwing wider and wider hooks as the rds go on and Sean's bodybattering continues and O'Grady finishes Ray off in the 11th. After the Arguello fight, Mancini started all that weight lifting and the facts are that big weightlifter muscles hinder fighters. Ray's whole style changed after 1981 and he was never as good again. Sean in 1981 ko's mancini. It took a true power hitter in Ganigan (after all the melodrama w/ O's dad losing the lightweight title) to beat O'Grady. I would take Ganigan by KO any day over Mancini.

O'Grady tkos Mancini late. Sean was as tough as Mancini and a better fighter in general. Sean is very much underrated, I think due to goofiness as a commentator on the USA fight night series.

I, too, think Bubblegum prevails. His win over Kenty is better than anything on Mancini's ledger and he took on tough opposition in the latter third of his career (after mostly setups in his younger days).

I see this fight being a bloody mess, but Mancini having some good rounds early but O'Grady taking over and landing his right hand at will. Sean stops him after 10.

:goodAnother one...that makes three of us...I think Sean was a better fighter and would have won a 15 round decision over the "great" Mancini.

Boom Boom would put his foot up Bubblegum's posterior.Verderosa ripped O'Grady a new one, and I expect Ray to do the same to Sean, somewhere around the sixth round.

Mancini was faster and a bit more skilled IMO. Would be a fun fight to watch though, no doubt.

A good one. I view Mancini as boarderline great, and O'Grady just another alphabet champion. I would go with Mancini to win via late round TKO, with O'Grady being behind on the the cards, but far from out classed.
