Record of 34-4-1. Very impressive winning ratio.

Even more impressive that the 4 losses were against guys by the names of:

    Georges St Pierre
    BJ Penn
    Matt Hughes
    Frankie Edgar.

Only Sherk fight that I've seen (that I can recall anyway) was against BJ Penn. And that was a great scrap, one of BJ's classics.

What do you remember this guy as? What was his finest moment and his greatest weakness? Were you a fan?

    :hat

With his boxing and wrestling I think he was one of the guys to get ahead of the evolutionary curve but then it caught up with him again. Perhaps a little like Hughes and Tito and many others.

Tough hombre, great heart, well rounded, too small though, his boxing was good even with that size limitation...but I wouldn´t call him a great fighter.....

Just watched his fight with GSP last night. Sherk really had nothing for him. A great performance by GSP.

I still think that Dunham was robbed in their fight.

Remember him for taking flush a knee to the chin from Franca while taking him down.
Didn't affect him or at least very little.
That night he was a beast mentally and physically.
took 2 rounds out of five against prime Hughes
unfortunately you also have to wonder
how much did he benefit from doping

What evolutionary curve? The dude was as one dimensional as they come and spent a career on hormones only to drop to 155 when it became convenient.
I like Sherk. He did alot for the sport and the UFC. But he can never be labelled an 'evoluntionary' fighter at all.

Padded his record with cans. His notable wins (Parisyan, Diaz, Florian, Franca) he couldn't pull out a finish.

    Deserved to lose against Dunham.
