    Round 11

Juárez is shoring up his strength now, wasting nothing on the outside, jumping in (eating some jabs between the eyes and strapping rights across the parietal lobe in the process) and pummeling away on the body. Moonsuree letting him work, not answering with much. Lots of dancing and posing by Moonsuree during periods of separation on the outside, clinching immediately when he gets rushed by Juárez, smothering his work as quickly as he can. Some good body shots getting through anyway. Moonsuree effectively taking a round off, it seems.

    10-9 Juárez

    107-102 Moonsuree

I didn't think Juarez landed enough clean shots in that round to shade it, but he did well.

Jaurez claims the 11th, Wanheng had his moments but seemed happy to just get through the round and get onto the final round without wasting much energy

A bit of the same, Wanheng just looked like a guy who knew he had the rounds banked up so didn't really do much in the final 2.

    116-112 Wanheng

    Round 12

Juárez is flailing his way in as in the eleventh, and Moonsuree is again tying him up like flypaper. Juárez scoots out and tries a new tack, doubling a jab at Moonsuree from mid-range. Body shots by Juárez, deflected as Moonsuree turns on a lawn-sprinkler with some of his own - neither landing, just tangling arms, coming together in a knot and needing the ref to separate them. Juárez is throwing what start out appearing like a jab, but hooking it halfway to its target - able to get around Moonsuree's guard thus. Clever stuff. They jump together both firing body shots and collide into another clinch. Moonsuree thumping with his left while holding with his right.

    10-9 Juárez, close

    116-112 Moonsuree

Yeah, he didn't take either of the championship innings pretty, IMO, but he worked his ass off and got some licks in by sheer law of averages while Moonsuree primarily just held (although he did score well in spurts in both - with jabs in the eleventh and body shots in the finale...just too little of that clean work from him)

Decision for Moonsuree - not sure the scores.

James Goyder (Twitter) opines that open scoring kind of ruined this fight, because Moonsuree knew he just had to coast in the final third. :think

I think the opposite could be said of open scoring as it forced Juarez to pick it up. Certainly 2 sides to it and it has worked well in Japan

    Hmm.. :think

Broadcast on Ch7 was only slotted in for 13:40 until 16:10 local time (meaning 2:40am until 5:10am EST) - guessing we aren't going to see bonus coverage of Petch next.
